I agree.
The K800i and W850i are still at the top of their game sales wise so I wouldn't say releasing similar specced phones at this stage is a good idea anyway.

I still have mine, which was lost for a couple of months. Though the argumen still rages as to which is the better - CMOS or CCD. Though why would a CCD module appear on a phone if CMOS was sufficient. Is it something to do with the size?
The Sony camera module above looks impressive.

I was also thinking on similar lines, for such small sensors maybe CCD is better,im not sure.

Below is what I hope is a pre-production version of the rumoured slim handset- Ai
From the first post:
Ai
Ultra slim (9.4mm) candybar phone. All the features of the W850. Metal on front, rubberized black material on back. Connector on the side. Keys like the K650 or 8850. Available on the market in Silver and Black. To be announced in November/December. 3G and HSDPA. No flash. Will come out with a 1GB M2 Micro Memory Stick.
Note: The Keypad on this photo looks unfinished. Also, notice the flush screen, Video-Call camera and d-pad. The handset doesn't look any thicker than the charger connector plugged into the side. Large aperture to the left of the keypad.
Is it possible that the keypad will be the same as that on the W950i?

@cristiano
Well the Handycam may have a five megapixel camera.
And CCD sensors are better quality wise, but CMOS sensors use much less power and their quality isn't too far off. It'd also assume than CCD costs more as well, but I'll leave all the explaining to max_wedge, he knows a ton on it.

Yeah, it was true after all. And I think we could maybe expect an announcement soon. It think this'll compete against an area with no real competitors at the moment. The very low end market has next to no phones with memory expansion, so SE will exploit that I guess. But I can see the W300 stealing some of the limelight.

Well the W200 looks rock bottom so it will bring on board younger music fanatics.
BTW: Operator 3 is rumoured to make an announcement today regarding its new service and this will involve new handsets from both and Nokia. Pretty high-end devices (UIQ) too by the sounds of things.

Oh, I'll have to go soon tonight. So I'll only find out tomorrow Excitement!
And those photos, well they look horrible
I'm sorry SE, but if this is even remotely like what is looks like, it's a no from me. But the keys look wrong to me, and the finishing looks very cheap. And it looks like someone just stuck some image over a calculator to create that. The screen is much larger than he 1.8 inches that it was said to be and does bear any resemblance to what we have heard about it, apart from the fastport position and thinness.
For now, I deem that FAKE.

Well it looks far from finished to me - there is not even a logo to be seen so the finished product could look quite different.
