Contact" menu. All the names there are in large type instead of small types even though I set my type "small".

This do sound more like an asian version of the phone
this 'feature' has always existed on phones with certain
languages. If you have a phone with european lang (swe, nor, english etc) it won't happen. |

well they certainly fixed something about the email-thing, I can send mail now, but only if I also use Vodafone's pop3 service... |

Epedemic> We are all idiots sometimes But you seem to be getting a nice list together. Some things, however, I wouldn't really consider 'bugs', but ofcourse you may include things that could be improved.
For example: I really like they fixed the date+time for older SMS messages, so you can see when (in the received) messages were sent... but
I) on the delivery reports I would like to see a time stamp also, so you can see when a message was delivered. (not sure if it will do this in MMS... still have to send my first one... and will try this weekend) Also there should be a time stamp when it was sent from your phone.
II) E-mail: attachments should really be possible to download (depending on the type for example... jpgs and sound files)
III) Phone still shuts off if the NO key is pressed past approx. 8-10 seconds, eventhough the keylock is engaged-> THIS MUST BE FIXED... but I believe this is a hardware bug, so maybe it can't?!?!?! I haven't really carried my phone in my pocket lately (other than my shirt/sweater pocket, primarily due to this bug... I am afraid to loose important calls because of this!!!)
IV) Experienced that my wap (globe...yes?) signal came on... by itself? Tryed to disconnect conn., but was forced to reset phone? I do like, however, the menu point - cancel wap conn. has been added to the menu key. Wap still not quite good, will hang sometimes. I do think this may be my SP also, but I have TDC which supposebly work closer together with ericssons to solve many of these issues. I still have problems connection a call sometimes. But this was a known issue before also. The new software has definately improved on fixing this problem.
V) There are noticable 'chirps' in the background durring certain conversations. Maybe this is a SP issue? More noticable in my earpiece (non-bt-headset) when put on hold for example. I have also experienced 'background' conversations from other mobiles? Maybe from 'outer space'...
There has already been done a lot of work on this topic from before... I am sure a lot of the bugs have been reported already, but I did manage to find an old wishlist from the past: http://www.esato.com/t68improvements.php made by laffen.
Maybe you should get together a list and post it for everyone to see before sending anything to Things like 'changeable-covers' is a wishfull thing... and I don't see this happening now. Actually, has really improved with the SW/HW (for the T68i) on almost 50% of the things mentioned in this older list. T9 IS FASTER and the T68i keyboard has been improved (I'm still ok with my T68(i) keyboard though and I did pay to have the front replaced with a new glass... you can only do, so and so much).
I would for example also like to have my contact addresses in the phone book... like the Nokias do, but I guess this may take up additional resources in the phone.
Just some ideas for you letter to
I will try to add more things before monday

I agree would be very nice to be able so email pictures and sounds to your phone.
>III) Phone still shuts off if the NO key is pressed past approx. 8-10 >seconds, eventhough the keylock is engaged-> THIS MUST BE >FIXED... but I believe this is a hardware bug, so maybe it can't?!?!?!
I think its a software thing and that they done this on purpose but
I agree it should defenitly be changed.
>IV) Experienced that my wap (globe...yes?) signal came on... by >itself?
This happens to me also sometimes, I always assumed it been a failed pop3 check or something that made it happen. Nothing that bothered me much (Go in to a wap bookmark get failed or just press no immidiete all the way back to first screen and it will ask you if you wanna keep being online press no then you can wap as usuall again.
>before sending anything to Things like 'changeable-covers' is a >wishfull thing... and I don't see this happening now.
I always had lots of dust and stuff getting inside my Nokia phones which has changable covers perhaps its not worth it. *ponders*
All in all I feel T68i is the most stable phone I had
haven't gone for the software upgrade yet though
since R2A014 that was shiped in it really is a good software
I will wait and see other ppls reactions about R2B025
before upgrading. (hey perhaps theres even another version out soon who knows hehe ) |

hmm a lot of this look more like wishes for changes in software rather than actual bugs... ill divide it into 2 sections a CLEAN bugreport for "important" stuff... and a "wishlist" for direct alterations...
to the guy with the comments on attachments... if the t68i should recieve sounds via e-mail it HAS to be amr... and since noone uses amr it's not an option... ill wrap this up at 0.00 cet and send it... so final comments are welcome... |

IV) Ups... I know why, but I thought the phone was playing tricks on me... This is ofcourse the GPRS turning on/off when I check for new e-mails...
I have it set to check every 30 minuter, and removed all my forwarding from my ISP's mail-accounts.
Nice!
Epedemic> Let us know what reply/comments you may get out of this... nice that you take the initiative. I'm sure that check this site for additional stuff/BUGS that may creep out of our T68's!

I have the English/Indonesia/Malaysia language version T68i. I also face a problem with the font size in the phone book / call list being large irrespective of what size your display font size is set to. This is a major nuisance when searching for contacts in the phonebook, because the name you are searching for is highlighted but off the screen. If you switch text size to Medium, the searched name appears at the very bottom of the screen, and if you choose large text, it obviously works fine. This totally ruins the benefit of having a phone with a hi res screen.
Another problem I have noticed while typing SMS messages, is when choosing from multiple T9 word options, if you scroll down the list of options, it starts to show random numbers as word options at the end of the list. Of course if you scroll up, these random numbers appear before the actual alternative words. I have also noticed that the phone does not remember some words I have manually entered and saved, because I have to keep manually entering them every time. It says it has saved the word, but it won't recall it in future.
Is there any way to view the dictionary or erase / reset the words you have added to the dictionary?
I upgraded from R2A to R2B025, but no improvement with these problems. |

1. the text size is something about the t68ie (asian model/software)
2. the numbers is the numbers you yourself have keyed in when editing a word, hence not a bug...

1. Any users in Europe with the text size problem?
2. Is there a way to view / edit / reset the custom dictionary?
3. What about the fact that it will not save custom words, and I have to keep retyping them each time? |
