K700i not charging

Ok so I bought and am now paying for a contract for my brother as his birthday present. Trouble is: charged up the phone, played on it for about an hour, put it back on charge overnight and when I went to it in the morning the screen was off and there was a red light under the power button. Tried to turn it on and nothing happend. I've played with it for hours and left it on a whole day to charge but still the same problem today.

Yeah I read up on the red light flashing problem. Thing is it doesn't flash it's just on when the charger is plugged in even if I take the battery out it stays on. Also I noticed even after leaving it over night to charge, neither the charger itself or the battery were warm as I have come to expect from charging phones overnight.

Any fixes for this or is it a case of sending it back and getting a replacement? Was hoping to have this ready for him for his birthday tommorow!

hmmm, i dont know what to suggest, possibly a firmware upgrade would fix your proble, contact me for more deatils about this. But i think maybe getting a new phone would be easier for you.

It's still under 02's 28 day thing so I could return it easily. Just hoping there's some sort of easy solution. And I can't update the firmware without a datacable right? I have a bluetooth adapter but thats no good if the phone won't even turn on

always remeber when you get a new phone only flip up the SE charger port end in one direction, if not sooner or later if you have fliped the charger positions up and down the plastic will stay in the to positions like that and the gold prongs will not touch the phone connector block thus not making a complete connection letting it charge.
