It could be one from panasonic. I say it a few months back and i think it is on one of the news articles in esato.

Posted by sunjivas
smallest fone is sum panasonic - my m8 bought it from india

Posted by gatevital
Panasonic gd 55? Siemens sl50?

Posted by 701
one of those yes but...irelevant don`t u think?

Posted by gatevital
With the size of my fingers i need a r520 any way! The only phone i have ever had that anybody has ever commented on was my t66 so a small size does impress some.

Posted by Ayush
I think it's a panasonic. Probably 65

Posted by panlek
The smallest phone in the world pg ericsson t66 and the second smallest phone is sony-ericsson t600.

Posted by mixin
ericsson t66 was the worlds smallest triband phone when it came out... not sure if its the smallest.

Posted by gatevital
If you discount the ariel the gd55 is smaller.

Posted by bart
and what is the biggest: blokia

Posted by masseur
Looking around the net it would be close between the gd55 at 77 x 43 x 17mm and the innox i-800 at 70 x 41.5 x 22mm for the smallest. I guess there have been a couple of wrist watch size mobiles too...

Posted by waja800
There is a successor for the Panasonic GD55. Its named GD50. If I am not mistaken it is even smaller than the GD55. I think that would be the smallest in the market at this moment.

Posted by gatevital
Is that the g50? If it is then it is 80*43*19mm.

Posted by fabrizio
OK, since no one else has mentioned it I will, what about the Mobile phone from Zoolander . I tried to find a pic but couldn't get one.

Apparently, officially the world's smallest phone is this one: (they say it's in the Guinness book of records)
http://www.3g.co.uk/PR/March2003/5111.htm

although, I just found this article...sorry guys...

Ultra- Compact Form

# SAO PAULO, Brazil, Sept. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Nokia (NYSE: NOK - News) today announced the Nokia 6560 phone, the world's smallest and lightest TDMA handset with color display and dual band functionality. Weighing only 3.1 ounces, the Nokia 6560 phone is a small and sleek mobile phone optimized for balancing work and family life. It has a large high quality color display and enlarged keypad optimized for messaging. The advanced feature set of the Nokia 6560 further includes Java(TM) technology, XHTML browser and data connectivity via infrared, continuing a tradition of Nokia leadership in the TDMA market. Shipments of the Nokia 6560 TDMA 800/1900 MHz / AMPS handset are expected to begin during the 4th quarter of 2003.(Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20030912/DAF002A )

To allow users to personalize their phone, the Nokia 6560 phone includes on-screen wallpapers, user changeable Xpress-on(TM) front and back covers and high-fidelity MIDI ringing tones. With support of Java technology, users can further customize their phone by downloading new services and applications such as games or productivity applications to the phone using the built-in XHTML browser.

User-defined profiles allow for the audible and tactile alerts of the phone to be adjusted for the environment that the phone is being used in. Caller group function enables the management of incoming calls, while features such as predictive text input, a high quality color display, selectable font sizes and an integrated hands free speaker enhance the usability of the phone.

"The Nokia 6560 is the smallest and lightest TDMA phone with large color screen and it offers a full set of latest features for users to manage their business and personal life," said Pekka Vartiainen, senior vice president of Nokia Mobile Phones, Americas. "This handset clearly demonstrates Nokia's continuing commitment to the TDMA market."

Advanced voice features of the Nokia 6560 include voice memos, voice dialing and voice commands. The unique Nokia Pop-port connector allows for a full range of accessories such as an FM stereo radio headset. The phone also supports connectivity to a TTY device for hearing impaired users.

Nooo, it's a Nokia!
But is still the best!

Nokia

Posted by masseur
According to this Nokia specifications page it is 4.16 inches long x 1.73 inches wide x 0.75 inch thick which translates to 105.7 x 43.9 x 19mm. So while it might be the worlds smallest TDMA phone it is not smaller than the other phones mentioned.

Typical of nokia to be telling fibs!

smallest phone!?

mos def-o has to be the g55 by panasoic tis tiny,

altough sayin that the siemens cl50 is small too??

who cares anyway!? surely its what it does that counts!? so t68i wins hands down for size versus functionality!

I wonder why people are so obsessed with smallness, anyway?

Are we all a bunch of teenage girls, with mini handbags!?

Posted by masseur
when you are carrying alot of stuff (read gadgets) around... they each need to be as small as possible!

Posted by MartinZ
Maybe it's this one!

Posted by neo001
although i see what you are trying to say about the small cell phones i really think that the size of my t68i its the best size for a phone ... probably you wont agree with me but i really dont think that small phones are easy to use (presing the button´s or sending sms ... )

Posted by DeLa
when the antenna is included, the t66/T600 should be the smallest.

I don't know why the antenna is always left out in measurements, because it is always there.

Small phones are nice when you always have it with you. Especially the weight is very important if you don't want your clothes to "hang".

I guess the smallest fone are really that of the PANASONIC!!!! at present, and there's no doubt about it!!! But dating back for about 3 years, I guess the MOTOROLA fone co. came out with small ones too, like that of the "V"(2/3/8) series w/c is still in demand in Manila at present considering the presence of the colored fones.

Posted by dantec
Smallest and lightest 'TDMA'... It didn't say smallest and lightest phone 'ever' !

From what I have heard the t600/t66 are the lightest/smallest phones out there...

If you find something smaller post it.

These phones are already posted. But the point is that they are small! I have back home a phone that is small too. It is so small and thin. I'll get a photo and post it here.

The Neonode N1 seems to me to be competing for that slot. check this out at http://www.neonode.com. Click on the press section to see a pic of a hand holding the phone to get an idea of just how small it is.

Posted by axxxr
energetic what brand & Model of phone is this???And where can buy one??

Posted by pankan
If I'm not mistaken that the Haier Pen Phone.

Posted by axxxr
Nope its not that one!!....This is some other brand!!

Posted by Alf Nif
I don't know but that long round phone more looks like a wireless phone you can use in the home?

Posted by energetic
The brand is "Deltaphone" but I've seen it as "Crown" as well. Its an impressive phone but not as good as I thought it was. Speaker sound is poor.

Now Panasonic is going to lunch a very similar phone this year. I'll search to find a photo.
