Omg I love ❤ this device. Part of me regrets buying Note 4 now...

Oooh, ring flash. Fancy.

Posted by tranced
Me wants it too. I know I can't afford it by now, so I'll get the 5. Wish me luck.

And indeed this device is kinda awesome. I'm not 100% satisfied with the design. But its specs are very eye catchy. And the BATTERY's got me!!!

Posted by etaab
Its a little bit too similar to the Note 4 specs, but I love it overall.

Sadly, its LED and not a xenon flash, so I doubt it will be any better than any other phone with a LED flash.

Haha, saw Sundar Pichai's tweet announcing this while waiting to get my Note 4.

Great job by Google, Motorola and HTC on the Nexus 6 and 9, these things a true beasts. The Nexus 6 strikes me as THEE developer's dream powerhouse phone, I belieuwe it's going to do very well, hope it gets a wider release than the 5.

Very impressed with this phone but slightly annoyed there are no hands on reviews /videos yet.....I think I really want to buy one.....

We had to reach 2014 before Google would launch a Nexus phone with a decent storage capacity.

As I understand, Google wants users to stream music and movies. But the Google Play store available for most countries here in the Middle East only gives access to apps; no books, music or movies. So we get our media elsewhere and copy to the phone via PC/Mac. For this, 16 or 32 GB is not enough.

To be fair, Google do not sell Nexus phones in the Middle East anyway. We have to rely on gray imports to get our hands on Nexus.

Another monster due to Sammy and the Note series.

I like this one, it seems well crafted and has a great design. Would love to try it coz of stock Android and how it flies, but for now I have set my eyes on the Note 4.

Posted by Bonovox
Been confirmed it's water resistant too

Posted by badassmam
It's a bit big though so it's more comparative to Note 4 than a 5 inch phone. I heard the price is up too so they're losing one massive USP but it is top end specifications-wise, I don't think this will do as well as the Nexus 5 because of the price. I think the Note 4 trumps it because of the pen functionality which is part of the reason why people go for such a large device, everyone that I know who has a Note uses it for work but they have a second smaller phone. I'm interested in seeing new Android more than anything else.

Woah..looks great!Just hoped it had expandable memory.

My only moan about the design is its a bit like the Galaxy S3, its curved and a bit boring to look at. Especially the front.

Im surprised they haven't announced a smaller screened version as appears to be the case now with the other manufacturers.

Posted by Tsepz_GP
Nexus 5 is the smaller screened version, they are going to continue selling the the 5 as the more affordable variant and then at the low end you have the Android One phones from Micromax, Karbonn etc... If one wants stock Android they are now spoilt for choice.

I am now more looking forward to the new Motorola Droid Turbo it has stunning specs

Rejoice!

Nexus 6 now available for pre-order

Too fast?

Google’s Nexus 6 is up for preorder… but it’s already sold out

Posted by Tsepz_GP
I've heard and read a lot of people say this phone won't do well due to its size but I believe it may do much better than they think.

Nexus phones are the ultimate 'enthusiast smartphones', and the enthusiasts (us) seem to be wanting larger and larger displays, batteries, memory and power, and here is the ultimate Nexus so far.

The only thing IMO that may impact its sales is its price, many enthusiasts may want it but can't afford it and so may settle for Nexus 5, 4 or a Android One or a Moto G.

Posted by Bonovox
It is a little large for something aimed at most everyday Android mainstream users

Posted by tranced
There should have been a 16GB version

That's the thing, they aren't aiming it at mainstream, the last Nexus aimed at mainstream was the Galaxy Nexus, and boy was that an awful situation, Google having to deal with networks globally, it stung them hard and confirmed for them that Nexus is best sold by them and online retailers.

They are aiming this at power users, same with the Nexus 9, these are the geekiest Nexus devices we've seen, they have spared little and gone full on power, the Nexus 6 rocks the very best smartphone CPU available with the highest res display available, the Nexus 9 rocks the most powerful tablet CPU. They held nothing back, and the prices confirm that.

Turbo got a cracking review no one has started a thread for it though

Posted by emerson_shei
Please tell me what that has to do with the Nexus 6 ?

Turbo Droid is a CDMA handset only present in the US, what this has to do with the interests of this site !!

Finally Lenovo/Motorola has already announced that this month will launch the GSM version of this device called Moto Maxx... Stop with these stupid posts !!!

P.S: Dude you must be a very sad and lonely person, it is not the first time you post a story that has nothing to do with the topic... Have shame on your face, look for psychological treatment and stop "fill the bag"

If the phone is aimed at people like me then I should buy it! Sadly it is not certain when it will make its way to UK - could be next month
