What an excuse. An answer like "it will be fixed in the next update" would have been ok.

That would be an admission that the camera has a flaw.

Is not that a result of sensor overheating? Even DSLR cams have that if you let the sensor exposed for quite a long time. Apple may have pushed the tiny iphone camera too much.

I would say it was a fault of the new design, the glass maybe.

My N8 does it if the lens is not spotless.

Well here's some expert views on it. Apple are always blaming everyone else and never admit their own mistakes. Like your holding the phone wrong to reduce signal. How else do you hold a phone then??

And knowing Apple, I'm sure they'll will change the old units for new ones as soon as they are ready. Just to make their customers happy. And that's a good point I admire from them.

guess this means they wont use sony cameras in the next iphone. I remember, when nvidia provided faulty gpu's for their macbooks, they ended the contract with them.
