Hi All,
I am new to this forum and searched a lot to get more information on updating my G900 firmware but I couldn't find one.
I am still a beginner, I downloaded the firmware "G900_R6K842_R9N002 [mobilemb.net]" but my question is
How do I flash the new firmware to my G900?
How do I know the current firmware on my phone?
btw.. I started looking for a new firmware since my phone has started "restaring to improve performance" continuously. Is this problem due to harware or software?
Does updating the firmware help me resolve this restarting problem?

Hello and welcome!
I completely forgot about UIQ. But I think that you will find what firmware you're on by clicking on "more" and then about phone. There you will find the info you're looking for.
Also, with the Sony Update software you will get the latest.

The last version of PC Suite still runs well for me on Windows 7. Download it here: http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/sony-ericsson-pc-suite-16/
There's a paid flash service available at http://www.omnius-server.com/. I used them to flash my G700 and P990i phones to the last released firmware.

For me SE PC Suite is not working. PC Companion is not working too.
Is there any free way to flash it? In my current FW touchscreen calibration isn't implemented. In new version is, but first i need to known how to flash new version?
Flashing with XS++ v3.1 is not an option due to XS++ can't flash whole ROM.

That is a software problem. Reset to factory settings should work. Another option is to reinstall the firmware.
