Not to be outdone by Apple, HTC has blasted out invites for a September event of its own, hitting New York City on the 19th for an unspecified launch. “Join HTC to see what’s next” HTC’s invite reads; although there’s no indication of what hardware might be announced, it’s likely to include Windows Phone 8.

Awesome. Cant wait to see what htc brings to the table. Imo, htc, nokia and are probably the only companies that can be truly innovative.

It'll be interesting to see how HTC intends to forge ahead.

Dont know if anything Htc has done in the last 2years can be seen as innovative, i mean Htc sense UI is amazing, but has brought them a number of problems and other than that they havent done much else, but hey, each to their own i guess.

Looking forward to what they'll bring, and whatever it is, i hope for once they haven't compromised battery capacity or expandable memory.

I mean if you look at htc's history, and types of devices they have released, its one of the reasons why I like them. Yeah after the desire, they screwed it up big time and still have the worst music playback, battery life and camera compared to other droids.

Btw desire x has 20 hours of call time with just 1650 mah battery!

Are they going to release the One X successor? If they do, that phone will be real beast...

I liked the One X and One S but they over hyped the new Image Sense which turned out to be average. And they ruined it with a paltry battery inside a quad core phone that you couldn't remove. They were top of their game few years ago. I think they'll change for the better. From what I read the One S proved more popular the flagship One X. I did purchase the One V and whilst it was a nice ICS phone it lagged really badly

just a question with the HTC One V, a guy in my class (im doing a part time IT admin course) and he has ICS on it. Now the big problem he has is that he cant get his phone to use as internet connection with other phones or pc's. He gets the connection when someone connects but then it times out. I tried the wifi sleep policy which was set to never and still no joy. I tried it the other way with my Neo V and that works fine so something seriously wrong. I tried looking for HTC forums for him but no joy. He is a new user to Android and im trying to do him a favour as he gets me free software normally haha!! Cheers!

@chunkybeats: There is a power mode option under Wi-Fi hotspot, make sure it is set to never (it is not the wifi sleep policy).
Another solution:
I know this is not a proper solution but you should try at the end if you can't find other solutions. First backup his data then do a factory reset.
