Being a slider the C905 is one of the last "real" Cybershots models from Sony
.
it also more similar in style to the
series instead of the Candybar concept which was before.
Design
When opened the phone it reveals a standard numeric keyboard with reasonably spaced keys with no problems with big thumb syndrome. The Phone is light in the hand and feels fairly solid and well built.
On the left hand side you find the M2 card slot, the charger connector Vs headphones.
On the right are the phones camera controls, such as; volume control Vs camera zoom function, playback button for quick access to your photos/videos and finally the shutter button.
Display and Camera
The 2.4-inch display is coated in a mineral glass, which is resistant to scratches. It supports 262K colors and a 240x320 pixel resolution.
The main attraction of the slider is definitely the powerful 8.1 Megapixel camera with auto-focus.
the image sensor on c905 (made by Sony) produces great colour & white-balance.
The big lens makes close-up photographing more easier and the Chromatic aberrations even in high-contrast are well under control.
The sharpness have a realistic softness which produces astonishingly fine details.
General
The C905 features a ARM9 processor that runs at speeds up to 170 Mhz and comes with a 160MB internal memory with a M2 memory slot card to expand the storage space up to 8 GB. it also features a HSDPA 3.6Mbps technology, which greatly improves data transfers.
C905 also comes a with build-in GPS (A-GPS). (which runs with Wisepilot (after Wayfinder 7 had been closed). the GPS works fine outdoors, but have smaller issues indoor.
Battery
Sony Ericsson C905 features a 930 mAh Li-Polymer battery, which has an official lifetime of approximately 380 hours in standby mode and 9 hours in talk-time mode, which is really great.
