nice, but I reckon all phones, at least phones with a usable screen for video playback, really should come with a kick stand built in these days

I used to use belt cases all the time. but thats because the phone were more than pocket size.
these days I really dislike any kind of case, even the free bumper I got from Apple, so a built in kick stand would be perfect

nope. never used a screen protector either, and never had a problem with screen.
I guess they are like insurance but if you take even the simplest care you really don't need them

I think the contrasting opinions shown here are exactly why they aren't built in. Personally I'd be annoyed if the phone was bigger to incorporate a kickstand when I keep it in a case anyway, Masseur on the other hand..
Maybe something worth the companies researching to see numbers of who would or wouldnt want them?

Would have love more phones to come with built-in kickstands, like the ones on some of the WP7 HTCs, i currently use the music stand that came with my 5800 to watch movies on my X10, i cant stand using cases. The HD7 has the sweetest kickstand ive ever seen, what case manufacturers can then do is make an opening for where the kickstand comes out, doubt it would be that big of a deal.
