So far Ive had a Satio for about 5 months and just like you guys I aint satisfied. Screw that bragging Id like to ask you guys for a bit of help. Here goes...

Today I tried connecting my Satio with my PC via the USB cable. I always connect in Media transfer mode. When I connected my Satio, the PC made noises as the USB was plugged in, then plugged out. The funny part is that the next time it beeped that it was plugged in it did it 5x times in a row and then the sound of being plugged out. This happened 2 times. I disconnected the USB cable from the PC and the Satio and restarted the PC. After the PC was restarted I plugged in the USB cable once again and I got the same beeping.

The thing is this. Whatever I do it doesnt get displayed in Media(Photo,Music n Video). Whenever I transfer music through the MassStorage I have those files(music, pics) on the phone, I can view them from the File Manager. Whenever I try to find them in Media they arent there. I pressed that button to update media, it took like 20 minutes, then it suddenly stopped. I observed it all the time and it didnt find any new files. I mean like what the hell?

And now I did a hard reset on the phone and it still doesnt work. So if someone can help me Id appreciate it a lot.

Thanks in advance

@burmistrz I did that too. I even tried connecting the phone through the charger. You know the charger has another exit on the port so you can plug your headphones while the phone recharges. I used that port with the USB cable and it still did the same thing.

@Monaco Well your phone does that alot because, atleast this is my opinion, you have removed the charger way to fast from the phone and the port got screwed up. Atleast thats what happened with me on SE k810i(teh perfect phone ).

Would be thankful if you guys come up with another suggestion and thanks for answering.

That's the CST-75

What if the problem here is with the fast port. Let it be a loose fastport. Like it'd need to be tighten up

@tranced The ports work perfectly fine...

Anyway I went to my mobile provider and left the phone to get repaired. Now lets see what they will say

That is a horrible reason for a connection to be broken so easily, the charger/pc connection ports are meant to be used on a constant basis and should have a long lifespan, my issue started from the very beginning. I figure it is just poor quality control on SE's part

I've heard about similar issues for the SE Satio and other software issues too which discouraged me on getting one and that's why I bought the X10i from timtechs instead while at that time I was only deciding between the Satio and Vivaz.

Hey NsaneLazarov... you mentioned you copied the files via MassStorage... what's the format of the files? If it's a format the Satio isn't capable of playing, they won't appear in Media. Also, the phone's USB driver might not have installed properly.. you can confirm this by opening Device Manager on your PC while your Satio is connected (right click My Computer and select "Manage" then browse the the Device Manager)... scroll down to the USB devices.. if the Satio has a yellow exclamation mark, then you need to uninstall it... you can do that within Device Manager... then restart windows and reconnect your Satio and let the USB drivers reinstall...

Other than that I have no idea... good luck.

Its not my first time transfering music from my PC to mobile phone. The files that I transfered were MP3, the Satio didnt recognize them and thats that. I used MassStorage because the phone wouldnt let me use Media transfer.

Oh and by the way phone is still at my service provider... Waiting for that stinkin text message everyday...
