nice one..

Posted by tranced
you really can't wait, can you?

Posted by hihihans
For a second I thought you already have it.

Posted by Lightspeed_x
Quite nice indeed!... noise is well under control in full size pics... i guess its not the same sensor as in the W995 after all...

Were those taken by a prototype or a retail unit?

Posted by domipost
They look nice for sure!! Can't wait to have it in my hands, too

Posted by goldenface
No, I've been itching to post this the last couple of days but seeing as how retails units are only a few days away

Not bad at all.

Posted by HxH
too bad, I got it for 2 days with latest hw n'sw but too damn tried and busy all day so no chance to take some day light shot for all of you guys.

Posted by mode
Night/indoor shots are good too, would really show us what it's made of

Posted by Lightspeed_x
I agree with mode on this one, should a user "enlight us"?

Could you post some low-light & night pic

Posted by goldenface
Wow!

C905 pics aren't that vivid. Looking good.

Posted by chombos1
hi...

can you please post a video sample captured by the Aino????

thanks.

I find the saturation is totally exaggerated on the Aino, and it also seems to over expose hugely if there's bright light even to the side of the camera.

Is it just me?

I'll post some pics in a bit so you can see what I mean.

A selection of photos (you can download them full size)

The above photo was also taken with the Satio (notice the missing sugar!).

A Picture taken with My Aino

Posted by gola
Wow, these photos are real great

Posted by Bonovox
I dont think the quality is anything amazing

Posted by Mano82
May be not amazing, but not bas as well But i feel W995 has better Camera

Posted by larry 68
Pics so far seem really awful, is the Aino not capable of taking better.
No offence to any posters of pics, not blaming the user.

@Larry 68
Awful? You're joking right? I know some digicams that don't take better pictures than these

take a look at some of the other cam pic threads.. 850, 901, 902, c905.. they seem to take much better pics than what has been posted so far with the Aino...

Posted by mediar
I think so. But there is one little detail - I recomment you to clean the glass in front of the camera's sensor. This will increase the quality twice.

Aww c'mon...'awful'? I'd understand 'unimpressive' if the last pic (indoor shot by Mano82) didn't look like a dedicated digicam image (which it does and I'm pretty darn impressed), but awful? That's over reacting. Frankly I do believe that Aino has a very good cam module but it is short lived by the lack of manual EV and WB control. I believe the indoor pictures may outperform the outdoor shots due to these factors.

Posted by Mano82
Agree with Mode the lack of manual EV and WB control is the minus. First i thought that Aino had a bad camera, but now i feel it's good, may be not one of the best, but it's not that bad either. But you have to learn to take pictures with Aino

Posted by larry 68
I guess I was expecting bigger and better things from the Aino in terms of photo quality, lack of zenon apart.
Supposedly each new mid/high end phone that comes along should see an improvement in the images it produces and given Aino is 8mp I was hoping the pics would be better than the C series.

Pics taken with the Satio show a massive leap from the 5mp phones and I thought Aino being 8mp might immediately jump out as being better than older phones as well but I can see it.

Posted by mode
But of course, we all expected more in the camera department. But hey, why isn't there any U10i example photos title in the photos section?

Posted by Mizzle
@jmcomms

Clean the lens next time you do sample photos for a review. This is just ridiculous.

Posted by mediar
What is EV? WB is White Balance for the people, who don't know.

Posted by mode
EV= Exposure Value
You know, the +/- thing you use to control brightness/exposure ranging from +2.0 to -2.0

Pictures indoor, Low light condition... With & Without flash

Posted by Mano82
Some more pictures with & without flash- indoor

Posted by mediar
It seems that the phone has good auto-wb detection. However, the lack of EV is really disappointing - even T610 has this. As I see from the last pictures ( thanks for them ), in some conditions it's better to miss the flash light, because the quality goes worse.

Aino's 16:9 images are just over 2 mega pixels:

These were taken at full 8 mega pixel resolution:

Woah!
Clean lens and good hands really makes difference.

Posted by mode
We have a clear winner (though only where 2mp is concerned for now) . I always clean the lens everytime I pull my phone out for a snap and i can't stress that enough in order to maximize the camera's ability, that's extra work you need to put in for the lack of lens cover.

Only my first photo was 2 mega pixels, if that's what you mean. The rest were all shot at 8 mega pixels.

@oli
your pictures are much better then the other ones i saw here
but still the colors are bit washed out.

Posted by Mano82
Some images from me

Posted by mode
Absolutely love the colours But I do think its biggest problem is overexposure. As always, indoor pics look great. Care to share the full sized photos in the photos section?
