This phone is loaded with Google's Android OS and is expected around Q4 this year...

A little odd, but I like it overall. I don't like the appearance of the android interface though.
EDIT: Changed my mind. Its f*ck ugly.

Looks like something FisherPrice would sell to kids.

I like the black one..the one shown in the Video...i think the white one is a T-mobile exclusive version...the default HTC dream should be the video one...
Oh, and here's another pic...

The black versions better, others are really bad.
Is it touchscreen

Looks a bit tacky, but the android OS doesnt look awful, i hope it doesnt dissapoint as i need a cheap(ish) qwerty phone

Yes......
WW, I don't think the first Android phone will be cheap at all......
Posted by weirdwilli
Well it should be cheaper than most Windows Mobile or S60 smartphones right?
So long as the OS is decent more and more Android phones will come out, covering more of the market.

That's one ugly mess!

it a... different phone designwise looks a little bit awkward

There's an old IBM term for customers willing to try version 1.0 of a new product. The modern term is early adopters.

IMO it's ugly because it looks like it's in 2 pieces... >.>

i think it looks good, even thou its unfinished, it seems to work very efficiently on 300mhz cpu. Thats great actly. I might consider andriod.

I can't believe that this is the final version.
That looks like two different phones have XXX!
I hope there will be a better endversion beacause I want to replace my SE P1i and it seems that SE isn't able to make a successor this year or spring 09.....

I think they should rename it to HTC Nightmare
Posted by clauf
I'm kind of surprise it's by HTC... considering their phone designs weren't that bad... just now this... sigh -_-"

it is ugly and ergonomics are terrible. the whole point of qwerty like that is to use both thumbs to type on the keyboard but with that huge portion on the right side to overcome with your thumb while attempting to type is a big problem...
the home screen looks pretty "unslick" to me. almost like the most basic X windows you can find.

The design is so un-HTCish. i thought HTC would make it look like the diamond series. or SE could at least buy it and bless it with a much nicer looks

It's kind of sad how the first android phone looks like this X__X" Doesn't really make Android look good...
Hmm... since Sony might decide to buy out Ericsson... and maybe they will buy HTC... so will it be called Sony HTC or HTC Sony =P (I'm just fooling around)

Not when they're profits are down at the moment. lmao

Is this for real? HTC releasing a phone straight after the Diamond that has style factor of the year 2000? Seems strange to me. Looks like someone just made it up! Like the people at NOKLA (Note the L Nokia fanboys) designed it.
EDIT: It already has approval from TMobile too? Highly doubt it.

As much as I hate to say it, you're going to have to eat those words. There's photos and videos of the thing everywhere!

Not sure why it looks so strange, it might be the keypad, plus when it is in horizontal mode it looks a bit fragile to me.

This is the HTC HD pictured.
@Oli
Yup! Eating my words right now! Cant believe TMobile got this before everyone else?? Super strange. Oh well, better they guinea-pig it and fix bugs before the main networks get it.
