hey everyone!
iv literally just taken my new phone out the box yesterday and last night all of a sudden the camera shutter wudnnt open when i swithced on the camera. it actually comes on the screen and u can take pics but the shutter dont open....!!!
does anyone else have this same problem?

try restarting the phone and it should be ok. it's one of the bugs of the first firmware. so hopefully it will be resolved with a new firmware

Only SE can Answer the firmware question, however we are hoping soon.
I would however advise you to ring SE (08705 237 237) and log a complaint with them, at present SE are taking a massive ammount of complaints regarding the phone so every call can put pressure on them to fix it quicker.
A Flagship model i dont beleive should do this.

Its humans who make the phone,not god,with SE do u have to pray god to get a good phone?.After all with these much of problems people should have waited for some kind of stability before buying one.

Hello.
I have excatly the same problem.
It happened a day after i got the phone, but i just stuck it on charge and it worked.
However, now, about a month later for about a week its been broke. Shutter just will not open. What should i do?

Have the same problem. The shutter is stuck. Tap it gently (or hard) with tip of your finger/fingernails and try again.
After that I try and open the camera shutter again, success most of the time.

If you have any shutter problems, then you need to return them back to SE for either repair, or back to you mobile provider for a replacement (If you provider provides this)
No matter what you do to the phone, eg master reset or firmware update, the fault is in the Mech it self.
To get the camera open you can either tap on the back of the phone where the camera is and keep trying to open and shut the camera or tap on the top near where the camera is and again try opening and shutting it
