In austria i pay monthly 17 euro for 250 mb

Argh - I pay 69 Swiss Francs for 2GByte a month (about 45€) on Swisscom. Unfortunately there is no monthly plan for 500MByte for lets say 15€ or so... which would be enough.
But on a per MByte basis the price is about 10€ so that is not an option ...

Like Spawn, I'm using the t-mobile "unlimited" web'n'walk for around £10/month (inc VAT)

Although it says its unlimited there is an acceptable usage policy (AUP) of 2gb/month but thats still plenty and technically you are not supposed to use the phone as a modem from your pc etc and there are a few other rules too, but no show stoppers.

I switched last week after getting fed up with vodafone's short sightedness of not offering any more than 50mb on calling plans (though you can get a pc data card with "unlimited" AUP-1gb but whcih cannot be used for calls, for £52.88/month!!!) and rip off data charges

i pay £0.00 per month for whatever i want.....

i love my job.

fatreg

ps. i know that wasnt helpful at all but its what i pay.

Cingular Wireless in Bermuda

Plan Monthly Charge Additional per Kilobyte
Data 1 (1MB) $8 $0.010
Data 4 (4MB) $13 $0.008
Data 8 (8MB) $20 $0.006
Data 10 (10MB) $30 $0.003
Data 20 (20MB) $40 $0.002

Blackberry
Plan Monthly Charge Additional per Kilobyte

Blackberry Premium (8MB) $35 $0.0048
Blackberry Unlimited $45 N/A

But then again I could switch to M3 Wireless and get Unlimited for $30. The only reason why im sticking with Cingular Bermuda is because of the plans of introducing 3G service in the near future. And also M3 has less towers around the island leaving bigger dead zones. And they only provide wap service with a proxy server that prevents HTTP access!

Using TMobile here in The States and an unlimited GPRS data plan is $5.99 a month. Although this plan is unlimited there are some varieties of data transmission that this doesn't cover. Still haven't figured that one out yet.

No 3G.

T-Mobile's Web n Walk gives you unlimited web browsing, email, instant messaging and downloads for £7.50 per month. Fair use policy is 2GB per month and they don't like you using it as a modem or for VOIP-thats if they notice! Ha

i pay 99 rs per month for my gprs with airtel and unlimmited downlading

I believe that most operator charge the same price / megabyte as for 2.5 G (GPRS). The only difference is, since 3G is much faster, the price/minute will be much higher. IMHO, the price is way too high as it is. It's very easy, especially if you connect the 3G phone to a computer to reach a level of charging that you can't afford. Telia in Sweden had a campaign this summer, saying that you coud use the internet in your phone as much as you want for a maximum price at 9 SEK/day. What they didn't say, at least not with the same big font in the ad, but in a tiny microscopic text at the bottom of the ad was, that it was only when you chose addresses listed on their SurfPort portal. Otherwise, if you specified an URL manually in the phone, or connected the phone to a computer, it was normal rates. Instead of 9 SEK/day, I was charged about 100 SEK/day.

In Malaysia am paying RM 99 month unlimited gprs/3g/wifi access on celcom with a minutes calling plan of RM 50 a month. RM 1 = US 3.68 or Uk £ 6.90 roughly as exchange rates vary. But the plan i have is cheaper than what they charge prepay customers.

mine is a prepaid service and am charged Rs 15( 0.33 US$) per day..
This gives me umlimited internet access to emails , websites , uploads and downloads and can also use net on my lap top....

I think in india ( especially airtel ) is the one that is providing the cheapest gprs and edge service.... the 3g is not yet released
this is will be released towards the year end and should expect that it should also be cheap......

Any idea about the gprs and edge charges in toronto ( canada)

Cingular US - $19.99 unlimited GPRS/Cingular Video 2G, 3G. Too bad that they are on 1900 band, and my P990i only supports the 2100.

In Indonesia using Indosat IM3 for US$1 you can get around 9Mb, it's IDR1 per kb. The cheapest in my country while other rates IDR5 per kb...

Posted by carkitter
On my V630i it's 10c / 10 kb which is the casual data rate, plus it's free to browse on Vodafone Live! if I'm bored. The Vodafone Live! site is a last resort though. I have a Choose 20 Account with add-ons.

I have a data plan for my Laptop. NZD$49.95 / 1GB per month at HSDPA 3.6Mbps (0.8-1.4Mbps in reality) via my vodem.

Opera 9.24 was free however

Posted by SE4NICK
I never use it.....however Telstra would charge mei think its about 2 aussie cents per mb and on weekends 1.1 aussie cents per mb....something like that anyway..

However when i use msn on my phone its relatively cheap

Posted by Miss UK
I pay less than £1 a day with Vodafone Live UK to browse whenever I want I only check my emails though so it costs about 5p to 20p,

the £1 gets you 15MB though for the day which is pretty good the way I use it (Basically I don't download nothing) lmao

Here in The Philippines, using Smart Network 3G/GPRS browsing costs Php10.00(thats approx. US$0.25) per 30 minutes of browsing! Regardless of the size of the site and regardless of how many sites you open in your browser at a time! (if your phone's browser had multiple windows) The charge is based on how long you stay online. If you browse on the network's site its free of charge!

I'm on HK$28/month for 20MB daily - however you can only use it for surfing and streaming, no download/uploading allowed. Nor can you use the data on 3rd party browsers, its gotta be the default SE/Nokia/whatever browser you phone comes with.

HK$68 is basically unlimited streaming and surfing with the same limitations.

For real unlimited usage for everything I believe its >HK$500 a month.

I use Smartone-Vodafone

I get 5 free megabytes everyday here in Egypt (vodafone). After exceeding them, i get charged 5 egyptian pounds per megabyte (thats around 90 cents-1 USD).

I used to pay just under $9 a month for EDGE (unlimited data - this went into the GB's. I used torrents a lot) and used it as my main internet connection. Now I pay $3 to use EDGE just on my phone. No idea what the limits are though.

on monthly contract with T-Mobile USA here.... $5.99 for T-Zones (GPRS for every phone and automatically goes to EDGE mode if your phone and your nearby transmitting cell tower supports a faster connection).... $19.99 for T-Mobile internet, which I have no idea what the difference is compared to T-Zones... I think $4 or $4.99 for SMS/MMS.. not sure.. 15cents per SMS/MMS if you don't subscribe for the messaging plan...

why does T-Mo doesn't roll out 3G already? Cingular (AT&T) charges too much! yo.. T-Mo.. your customer need speedy wi-fi!!

We've got a new plan here in Ireland of €30 per month for 10GB of downloads for your phone. Pretty good deal I think.
