There are no virus's that can affect a K750i. The virus's that you get on your pc cant affect your phone.

Windows Anti-virus would pick up viruses designed to attack Windows (hence the name). But as your phone doesn't run Windows it won't be affected.
A virus is self-replicating, which has yet to be done on the SE phones OS.
Potentially someone could make a Trojan Java application which could access the phones files and delete contacts possibly, but it wouldn't be a virus.

I think java runs in a secure platform diferent from the phone so if there is a virus it won't affect the phone

It is possible to write a virus for the K750i, in fact there is already one, a Java virus.
I forget the name of it, but a few months back someone made a Java game for Nokia phones (and any other phone that plays Java games) which froze the phone up and locked the user out. You'd have to remove the battery to start the phone again.
I think there was also one which sent your contacts or appointments or something to the internet when you tried to upload game scores.
Neither were very threatening.

Hmm...i remeber vineet_d had a problem with his k700, when he installed some game and the phone froze on him....nothing he could possibly do would revive it...fortunately it was under a warranty and he got a replacement.....im wondering now, if it was a virus which did it in..

More likely to be a game which wasn't designed for his phone specifically, and hadn't been tested for the differences in Java Runtime Environments between phone models.
Just because a program crashes, doesn't automatically mean its a virus...
Plus, as I said above... a virus is self-replicating i.e a piece of code that is capable of copying itself and distributing itself to other devices.
A malicious program that makes your computer or phone crash IS NOT a virus unless it can replicate itself.

So if its not a virus, what is it ?
In the literal meaning yes, a virus is self replicating, but i expect it does not have to be true for software viruses.
The virus of which i mentioned was one which was hidden inside a Java game - almost like a trojan. The owner downloaded the game for free and installed it, played it, and didnt realise the game was also a virus.
Im not sure if it sent itself out via Bluetooth or MMS, but it certainly acted like a virus and caused negative effects.

even in the tech world a virus is generally considered to be self-replicating or self-distributing. the instance of the java thing was probably a specifically designed software app disguised as a game or dodgy software.
the only mobiles really at risk of viruses are smartphones (and then usually only symbian series 60 OS), and even that is minimal due to the relatively low market penetration of such devices.

Yup..... the greater risk are in smart phones, specifically with symbian.
And even on smart phones is not that rampant.

only nokia S60 can be infacted !!!! there are no other viruses for cellphones ...,
the viruses that were designed for S60 phones can only infect other S60 phones these viruses cannot damage java platformed device ...
so the chances of an infected k750i are 0 ... !!!!!
So i don't think that any one will post some of these here ... coz it won't effect you'r phone ~!!!~ .....

Poorly written? Symbian seems to be sticking to the 'self-replicating = virus' definition.
There is an article about symbians stand on the skulld phone 'virus' here:

Wrong.
There are viruses hidden in some Java games, which have infected S40 phones like the 6230. Admittedly however, they're rather basic viruses compared to their S60 counterparts.
The same viruses could potentially infect your K750i. I havent tried to do so, and i dont intend to, but to claim the K750i is not vulnerable is rather ignorant.
Its also worth pointing out that there are also viruses out for Windows Mobile, and Windows Pocket PC, which some phones like the SPV and XDA range are vulnerable to. So its not just S60 phones; again, which are vulnerable. Im sure there are also Palm viruses out there that infect phones that use the Palm OS.

i can say that is most definately true from experience. one file on my mums computer had this thing called PE.Parite, and after a while nearly every file was infected. solved the problem by taking out her hard drive and scanning it as a slave on my computer, and pc-cillin did the rest
