okay, i bought a new pair of pants. whenever i pull my s710 out of my pocket, i have no signal! its been annoying me, and i thought it was always a coincidence. then i can set my phone down on my leg with those pants on, i can see my signal drop then go to no network. is this some weird coincidence? or can something be causing this?!?

May be the clothe material has its part & blocks the network.

Are you sure its a normal pant?? Look on the cover if there's "Cotton pants cum cell-phone jammer" label somewhere!

To ask the obvious, what kind of pants (trousers, I assume...) are they? Made out of some funny synthetic? Do you they still have an anti-theft tag in them? This is a fun mystery...

I could use trousers like that... Pretty handy for when you've gotta lot of work to do.... And don't want any calls without turning your mobile off!

Have you tried changing or washing your underwear ? The smell could be causing the air to ionise thereby causing a disruption of the electromagnetic waves ultimately resulting in loss of signal
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence of your attempt !!
