Goodbye SE, temporarily I hope |

Well after 3 years of owning Ericsson/Sony Ericsson phones I'm commiting the crime of changing manufacturer. My SE phase started with the T65, and moved to the T610 and both were phones I loved. My most recent SE phone has been the K700 and I've found that to be something of a let down. Function wise it's always been superb, but the build quality has left a lot to be desired, and for the past 4 months of the 12 months I've owned the phone the joystick has varied between being at times dodgy to being plain unusable.
So once I was available again to upgrade my handset I had a choice - albeit one limited by the relatively small selection available to O2 Online customers in the UK. The K750 was a strong contender but after my problems with the K700 joystick, that was something I wanted to steer away from.
I have instead gone for the Samsung Z500. I hope that this time next year I will be returning to Sony Ericsson for I am sure I will miss them.

The trick to a unresponsive joystick is simply to blow in it to clear all dust...in extreme cases use an air torch.

You probably got a defective piece.....The joysticks on SE phones are by far the best and most responsive amongst joystick phones from other manufacturers

The most common reason for joysticks playing up, is dust particles accumulating in the grooves... a trip to the service centre...or if you are adventurous enough which I wouldnt recommend with phones like the k750i.....to get it cleaned, usually takes care of the issue and restoresits original responsiveness levels.
