here is a thread from last time this was asked
Signal Booster - Does it work???
where I believe the consensus was that they're rubbish (to put it politely)
I've been sent a few to try and have to agree with that appraisal as I have never seen any change whatsoever in my signal strength
I wonder if anyone else has any positive experience?

Never used one and the articles I read were not raving about them. They might work in some areas.

am i missing something? if it picks up the stray bits of signal around the phone, wouldnt it be more effective on the OUTSIDE of the phone rather than under the battery?! |

A mate of mine was visiting from the UK, had one of these boosters... Tried it in an area of extremely low signal and hey presto... I found a bar ;o) So yeah, it does give a tiny improvement in signal... The app i had in my 6600 showed strength increase of about 5% when i tried it...

A friend of mine swears by his, he reckons that he gets much better voice clarity and doesn't lose the signal during voice calls anymore.
Personally I think that it's just his imagination, coupled with embarassment because he got his signal booster by paying £10 to one of those 'get a free smartphone' pyramid scheme websites that were all the rage a couple of years ago!
And no, he never got a free smartphone oddly enough |
