Im an Esato first timer, Been on it before, great site,
Iv been trying to use MP3's as ringtones like i did on my nokia, but i read that i canot do this because of copyright, So what i have to do it convert to AMR which gives really bad quality sound.
So, question is, Can i lose the copyright thing by unlocking it somehow??
Thanks |

I believe that if you convert your mp3 to mp4 (aac) using nero for example then you can use that file.

Ok guys, what have been mentioned about unbranding a voda is quite appreciable although it is a considerably complex procedure. For my occassion all i wanna do is, similarly, making my voda k700 able to use mp3 as ringtones. Converting mp3s to mp4s would be effective for k700 as well? Of course i would like to get rid of all that rubish that vodafone has installed, but i am not willing to take the risk of unbranding. Just consider the case that something goes wrong.
I asked also davinciteam for a better solution but no one replied.
Especially there are some mp3-like archives installed by vodafone which when they are transfered to pc become *.dcf
I tried renaming mp3s to dcf but without result-the phone didn't recognize them...
Your help would be more than invaluable |

I thought MP4 dint work on S700 And yes, there is a lit risk associated with de branding, flashing etc. Yet you may, just for the sakes, send a PM to 'GBrooks' or '619'.. Last heard it was going USD7$ a piece for each credit to DaVinci Team..
