does bluetooth needs software? |

i was trying to upload some pictures from my laptop which supports bluetooth to my T68i via bluetooth. although them discovered each other but i just caan't get them to send anything to each other.
do i need a special software to do file transfer? if yes, what and where can i get it.

Install Mobile Phone Monitor (MPM) from  and then one of these:
float's Mobile Agent, Christersson.org's Sendfile or MyPictures to upload files.

If you choose to install float's mobile agent, then you dont need to install mobile phone monitor.

Need help! I can send files to my phone via bluetooth using the send file program, but how do i send files from phone to pc? Appreciate any suggestions.

Got this in a mail from about the MyPicture program:
SENDING Picture FROM T68i back to PC
It is possible to Send from the T68i back to a PC, but not with SonyEricsson PC software, and not with the DRS-11 data cable that I know of. IR/BT with ExtendConnect software.
Unfortunately, MobilePhoneMonitor (MPM) doesn't support SEND from when the user selects a Send Phone menu. This would require MPM to operate as Receive client, so that it could receive the object sent by the phone.
MPM does supporting doing GETs from the Mobile Phone, so it could get by a particular file name, but the T68i phone in particular does not support this particular GetRequest of GIF or JPG files, so the PC clients using MPM cannot get a Picture. Future phone models or software releases will try to solve this.
So solution for you is to get from extendConnect their IR PC softare
called QuickBeam that allows receiving of objects sent from the phone
menus to the computer. The QuickBeam client when open sits there
waiting to receive a file object sent to the computer from the phone,
via the user exercising the SendMenus.

Thanks, I actually have both the MSI bluetooth and MA600 IR. I have no problems sending files (pics, tones etc.) to my PC using the MA600 IR. Any object I send to my PC goes into "MY Received Files Folder". I really want to find a way to send files using BT. That way, I can freely use my phone without having to point the IR ports to each other.
Hope there is a software out there that supports this. |

I have a Tecom usb bluetooth adaptor, sending files is easy, you can just drag the file into the \"Inbox\" for the device. However it seems impossible to recieve anthing other than vcard, vnote, vcal etc. I wish thy could have the same fuctionality as you have with IR, after all it uses the same Obex protocol, just over a differnt port. Maybe microsoft will provide this when they eventually release the native bluetooth support. Havn't installed the ericcson software yet, whichis the best package to use if you don't have Outlook?

I use a IBM PC-Card with software from Digianswer and it works great with the T68i. Supports images and sounds as well as vCard and vCal. Also uses it for synch and dial-up networking. |

AOL and Bluetooth Modem ?
In June I was connecting my laptop (a VAIO running Windows XP) to AOL (using AOL 6.0) through my T68i using the "Ericsson Bluetooth Modem".
In July I upgraded to AOL 7.0 and since then I can't get through, even after restoring the system to its previous state or reinstalling AOL 6.0. Still, the Bluetooth Modem is working fine (I use it everyday to dowload/upload mail through Lotus cc:mail) except with AOL.
Would anyone have a clue ? Or, better, a particular modem script acceptable to both AOL 7.0 and Ericsson Bluetooth Modem ? |
