Hi, I was wondering if any of you guys could give me advice on setting up my sync station. When buying the DSS-25 I was under the impression that it would come with a setup CD or at least an instruction manual however it did not and me being completly new to the subject I now have a useless DSS-25 lying on my desk. Baisicaly I need a step by step guide to set it up and use it. Can anyone help me.

Thanks in advance.

hi!

firstly, you're going to need to download the sync station driverfrom the sony ericssons site, which will either be under dss-20/dss-25, (because there isn't much of a difference) and save it somewhere where you won't forget! Then, plug in the sync station to your usb port and it should automatically pcik it up. Then it will say something about locating a driver. So find the directory and click install or something like that. And there you have it. Then use the software which you got with your phone to install the 'My phones' Folder and other components on your pc. If you have any further problems, just post back.

Good Luck!

All the sw needed is on the se website. Download the zips, extract them, and then point the pc towards the drivers folder. All should run happily ever after! Oh yeah, if it fails to connect give the phone a wiggle on the cradle.

I've just been on the SE website and found out that there are two differant versions of the DSS-25 driver one for the P900 and P908 and the other is for the P910. Should I go for either? And if so which one.

Thanks again.

Go for the P910 as it is the latest driver for the DSS-25.
Same as what I did when installing mine so I could update my S700i

I've got the driver now and the green light goes on but I still can't transfer stuff. As I was saying do I have to make a synchronization account on my phone or what?

try downloading FMA, that's what I use to transfer stuff from my pc to my k700i. Just do a search in esato to find the web address.

Hope this helps!

cheers
