To check the firmware press the joystick and the keypad in the following sequence. Right * left left * left *

Just follow the sequence without worrying about what is coming up on the screen and you should get the service menu.

Have you confirmed whether your J200i really needs a fw upgrade 
 t610 > k700i > p800 > p900 > p910 > k750i > I-mate Jam > Blokia 6681 > HTC Prophet > HTC Wizard & Nokia N73 > E71 > BB 9000 > HTC Desire > Samsung Galaxy S > Samsung Galaxy S II & the Motorola Xoom <br /> Still Shiny but not so n |

go to a service centre for a free upgrade
btw, i even doubt if a second firmware has been released
