guys i dont fink the 7650 is a 3G compatible phone !!
i kno though NOKIA will not be offerin upgrades 68 to 68i style so nebody who buys 7650 or p800 r in same boat
havin spent a few hours wit the 7650 2day i must say im not impressed n underwhelmed, im not gonna compare it 2 p800 cos i aint had it in me hand yet but the 7650 just has a very bad very un nokia like menu system, gr8 features n promise just not designed n put 2geva aswell as it cudve bin
id say p800 will b the better
but keep eye out for the 6000 series from nokia 3g phones - they lookin very hot, no pics just sum details given out 2day
(nokia presentation made here 2day at VM HQ btw )
true

As I sees it:
3G when you are able to see "live" video feeds through the "phone".
As its today with WAP/DATA through GPRS - its lousy.
It takes several minutes to load a "normal" web page when using T68i as IR modem on my LapTop.
With 3G the surf speed must be improved-otherwise the whole meaning of 3G will fail...

i think GPRS was a little overhyped with all this talk of 128k access etc
realistically networks r struggling to get even 56k constant
i just hope 3g dont suffer same probs - its all very well sayin yeh 356k etc etc but if thats based on ideal conditions n is the theory speed which i beleive it is then i wudnt hold hope for more than 128k speeds !
i for one will prob get a p800 n den wait till q3 next year when the real phones start appearin n itll be that much closer 2 EDGE !! now thats 3G !
UMTS i think will be no diff than the jump from GSm to GPRS !!
true !?!

Think of how the phones will look like within 10 years... they will have astronomic high capacities... can you imagine what the next generation of people will carry around....exciting developments:) |

Ok guys... so how much do u all think the P800 is going to cost without service? something like 750$? like the 7650 or more?
By the way today finally Israel became a 3G operating country.... "Pelephone", the second largest operator has opend its new CDMA2000 X1 network.... they only sell Motorola V720 by now... |
