Just got this from the UK arm of

The P800 is due for release at the end of Oct to beginning of November this year (2002) no retail price has been fixed yet but I would expect it to be around £249.00 with a new connection. This is just a guide please treat it as such.
The product has been delayed four more weeks now we have decided to include Memory stick and some new features.

Not to troll on your post but exactly who emailed you this information? can u post the email address which you contacted to get this reply so that others can confirm it? lots of people seem to get emails from SE saying this or that but never seem to produce proof, I was just hoping you could (or actualy couldnt so i can keep dreaming the P800 will come out by the end of august). It just seems the whole delay because of MS thing is pretty bogus considering when the announced the MS they also announced a Q3 release date. They would have said it was pushed back at the same time.

Sorry to say £249 with connection sounds too good to be true. Probably are trying to make customers eager to get it so when the phone actually hits the shelves it will probably be more expensive but the people anxiuos to get will not care as they would have waited for a long time!!!! GOOD MARKETING |

Stop criticizing 7650, it's a very good phone. And it's OUT now, while the P800 won't be out for months. And when it does come out, it will be a piece of shit too compared to the Nokia's first 3G phone which will be unveiled in September (probably before the release of P800 ).

P800 will be released end of september or beginning of october and don't forget that the 7650 was in the upcoming models of nokia for ages much more before the announcement of the P800 so it's u who have to stop dreaming about nokia's first 3G phone!

Are U paid by Nokia to try to explain us that a shit now is good for us ??? When we can wait 2-3 months to get a jewel ??
I'm afraid it'll not work that good...
BTW, I had both a 7650 and a P800 in hands a few days ago. You just cannot compare them !! Size when flip opened, hand taking, size of the screen, brightness of the screen, touchscreen... The list is too long...
The P800's really, really a nice phone... The MP3 player is f?ckn good, so are the camera, the screen and the user interface of the phone.
It's worth waiting for it till october, believe me...

Looking at the pictures comparing the P800 and 7650, there is no competition. The P800 is far better than the Nokia 7650 just by looking at them!
