Hi ladies and gents.
I don't want you to miss my photo comparison between the S700i and the Nokia 6630. I decided to make a comparison between them because Eldar's review of 6630 showed some very interesting results between the S700i and the 6630. He drew a conclusion that the 6630 has one of the best cam for today of all 1.3MP built-in cam and it was better than the S700i which is just unfair because he did just use automatic mode and all who owns the S700i knows that the automacy to the S700i isn't good at all and we also know that with the right settings, you really can take good shots with the S700i.

For a teaser head over to the Mobile-review's forum or simply press this link http://www.mobile-review.com/forum2/showthread.php?t=17135&page=2

Do not miss my photo comparison between the S700i and the 6630 tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

mobile-review.. the one that i called the untrusty reviews bin.. blah..

they said that the D410 screen is so excellent that only Sharp GX30 is on top of it.. didn't they see the BIG pixels on it? didn't they recognize the yellowish white color on the screen?

they said that D500 had better camera than S700i just because S700i pictures were a bit cyanish.. didn't they know that there are white balance settings in S700i?

they said that E398 has the best screen in its segment.. oh please.. the display is very uncomfortable to look at.. it's just too high in contrast.. just broke the colors themselves, esp. the white color looks so YELLOW in it.

they said that T630 screen is better than Z600's.. they said T630's is brighter and more vivid.. haha..... Z600's is much more vivid than T630.. i guess, masseur and others here who have owned this two phone know this fact.

they previewed a prototype model of S65 of which camera was SO bad.. and they didn't give many corrections when the final model came out to the market. very unfair..

they said that P910 was no different in screen quality with the P900.. were they blind or what? P910 screen is no doubt brighter than the one in P900.. 70% brightness in P910 = 100% brightness in P900

they didn't review at all many issued problems that appears in Mio 8380 - while the problem issues are many in amount! i knew it cause i had one which is not different to my friends' 8380s

they said that 7610 display is the same with the 6600.. haha.. those two phones even had a different form of brightness/contrast settings.. it wouldn't be the same quality. 7610 is better in contrast.

in short..
they reviews displays without looking at the resolutions of the displays. they just judges which is brighter, which is paler, which is darker. silly..

they compares mobile cameras without touching the main issue of the settings capability of each camera.

they reviews sound without ever tried the headset provided by each product.

and now they said that 6630's camera is better than S700i's. i didn't see that at all.. fully an opinion of the reviewer.

please, read this: http://www.gsmarena.com/index[....]a.com/nokia_6630-review-20.php

you trust gsmarena more than any eldar's reviews, right? LOL.

Quote:
Nokia 6630 is an excellent camera phone. Pictures which you get with it are better than those taken with other camera phones. Only Sony Ericsson S700 stands a step ahead of Nokia 6630 phone. Sony Ericsson's adds a lot of settings possibilities and the pictures are of a better quality. On the other hand Nokia is a first-class for normal shooting without artistic ambitions. With Sony Ericsson you have to learn how to make a photo with the best results possible. You can read our extensive Sony Ericsson S700 review.

it's not because i am an SE fan so i trust gsmarena more than mobile-review. it's just because i see what the gsmarena reviewer sees. i see that S700i is better than 6630. I saw those photos of 6630, and i think S700i is still better.

and while.. we can wait for a review between comparison of both cameras in mobileburn.

@mckinley
you can add the link refers to gsmarena in that mobile-review thread so that they can see what truth is. lol.

MRs S700 pics were laughable, yellow indoors, blue outdoors - somebody there needs a basic photography 101 crash course.

I am not at all impressed with 6630's camera...although 6630 is superior from its previous models like 7610...etc, but s700i is still ahead to this phone.

it's great that you came up with this thread. i was shocked and apalled when i read the MR review. A decent comparative review should be made to clear things up.

I think the topic isn't about why didn't buy a digicam to produce sharp good pictures rather than buy a camera phone. Comparisons are everywhere, and it doesn't depend on whether there's better option outside the objects compared.

Look at this one. There's no chance for 6630 to win the game when we use all the settings available in the S700i.

while i agree that the s700 does have many more setting to get better quality pics i can t help thinking that the average user is gonna use the auto mode in both phone and here the 6630 does lokk a bit better to my un traned eye.
also mobile cameras really are point and click messing around with setting to get a better pic for me is the relm of a dig camera and certainly not something that only produces a 1.3mp image.
i still think the s700 is a great package and i also think that the 6630 is a great package if you need s60 and 3g

http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=500821

here's some pics compared to the sharp gx30..

yes i know some of the lighting is off.. i was in a rush..

but you guys have to realize that out of the box the nokia will take better pics.. you have to understand a little about picture taking to get teh true potential out of the s700i..

nokia is a point and shoot.. overall it will generate better pics when user is an amatuer..IMO

yep, for amateur users, 6630's better, but talking about which is better, i think it's talking about which camera gives more possibilities to producing better pictures. [addsig]

I started this thread and I was supposed to publish the comparison but I have been delayed due to some business.

Anyway, I have talked with an user from mobile-review.com and he will provide me enough with webspace for all shots.

I will use following mobile phones in my comparison:
Sony Ericsson S700i, V800, maybe K700i and of course the Nokia 6630.
I can already tell you now that S700i is superior.

Eldar's S700i perform pretty poor actually, blurry and that crap. I don't know whether it has to do it is a development copy or just a bad copy?

Hang in there guys
