mms upgrade voids warranty when done at cpw?? |

Hi just foned sony ericsson in uk on 08705 237 237 the guy told me that carphone warehouse are not service agents for ericsson or se so if you get the upgrade done there you will void all warranty. has any1 else experienced this se directed me to a company in warrington which is the nearest centre to me . please post comments experiences thanks |

Had mine upgraded at cpw paint has peeled a bit on the side erricsson now say cpw was not supposed to be doing upgrade so my warranty is now void! Be warned they are not authorised and this voids your warranty

I have had my update done by an SE sevice centre. I phoned SE and the said: Do not take it to the CPW as they should not be doing the upgades, and warranty will be void. I have heard a lot if people are getting the upgrade done there, unlucky NO WARRANTY. CarPhone Warehouse should be made liable for not saying WILL VOID WARRANTY. Tossers. |

Hmm nice to hear that CPW are as "waisted" as theyre "daughter company" company here in Sweden - Geab the Phonehouse.
Sad thing for you who bought your phone there though!

my uncle got his T68 upgraded at CPWH in Greenford as his phone had a fault and needed a software upgrade...so happens the MMS firmware was just released so thats what he got.
2 to 3 weeks later the phone keeps losing reception.
call up T-Mobile and they suggest he bring it to their shop...nearest one was in Hounslow so we went there Friday and he got a new replacement...so it sounds like bo**ocks...
...or maybe it's just the way we deal with them when we go into the shops! |

when you get your phone upgraded and you have a problem just bring it back to CPWH...if they say the warranty is now void repeat after me in a loud voice "I DONT GIVE A FCUK"...they'll soon fix it for free or give you a replacement, trust me. |
