Hi Guys, Do we have any ideas on a release date or price for the S700i. The best I have seen is "Mid October" from imobile.com.au.

I would think so .......as i saw the product broucher and stated that S700i released in October ! I am wondering houw much gonna be..........around $900 ?

Hi caff.... Did you see a product broucher in a shop here? Thats a good sign then. I would have to say around the $900 mark also. Is the S700i something you are looking at getting also? |

im guessing well over 1k. maybe 1200. and release date mid or end nov. you guys gota admit it does take awhile for phones to reach aus compared to the other countries. so gota sit it out awhile. it will take time and it will be expensive but atleast u get local warranty unless u get it from overseas like i do.. |

ehh .. we got the z1010 here befor uk and shit. i dont think we are that far behind ... the k700i came out here about 3weeks later than uk.. so i do beleve it would prob be end of oct early nov.  same time halo 2 comes out on xbox :D
Now i have m600i, w800i, w810i, k750i, p910i, s700i, k700i, z1010, p900, p800, t630, t610 z600, z200, t230, t100 and t68i... all im waiting for is the p990i and w950i. |

well phones for 3g and gsm phones are different. singapore gets gsm phones about 1.5-3months earlier then aus. but they have yet to get teh z1010 at all as of yet. so im sticking to my word.. it is gona take awhile so hold your horses. |

I've been told end of october and about $1,100 on release. K700 is now $0 upfront :-D so might be worth to wait a while.

Sony Central Chatswood has it in the brochure availalboe October 2004, P910i as Late September 2004. |

So what is the expected price on the P910 then? Mind you reports around the globe would suggest the S700 is very much over priced. |

That's a good sign that OW have them listed now. But I just don't understand why the price is so high, even next to the P910i. For only $200 more the P900i is so much more of a phone. Unless your going to pay just for the look and I guess the size over the P910i. If the S700i had Duo Pro I think I would be sold.... Because that would be a phone you would be happy to keep for a long time. |

Talk to sales rep at Sony Central Chatswood today and told that S700i should be available in 2 weeks, no price confirm yet !

@gelfen - Maybe something to do with the camera, but the P910i has more hardware as far as processor, memory etc... go?
BTW - The S700i is in today's Harvey Norman catalogue for $1399 (Available Early November) |
