Win XP sp2- MSI BT dongle - file transfer help! |

Right i've just done a system reinstall and now have a clean install of windows XP with service pack 2 (using some cunning slipstreaming tricks from toms hardware)
XP sp2 seems to have built in bluetooth capability, so I followed the instuctions on MSI's website and plugged the dongle in and installed the XP sp2 only driver.
Before when I had to install the full MSI bluetooth software when using XP sp1, I was able to send files to and from my phone really easily. The phone's memory used to appear in windows explorer and I could cut and paste etc.
Now I can't see a way to see the files in the phones memory. I can't send files from the phone to the PC either
Synching with outlook works great though.
Can anyone help me???
The only problem is there doesn't seem to be an easy way of getting rin of the XP2 driver |

My advice is to download the Widcomm driver and use that instead of the built-in Windows XP SP2 drivers.
I have posted instructions on how to do this in a previous thread:

Trust me, I've been where you are right now. You don't want to be using SP2 bluetooth. Download the MSI software pack for XP SP1 and make windows use that driver, nevermind the driver being not digitally signed. SP2 bluetooth has very limited functionality. |
