Hello, I'm living in Turkey and from SE I learned that the K700i won't be arriving until the end of september. But most of the other brands' phones ara available in Turkey. Is there any phone which could be bought instead of the K700i, or should I wait for it?

All i know that 'could or may' compete with the k700i is the Nokia 6230 and the Motorola e398(?).

Nokia 6230 has the advantage of external memory, but it has a 128x128 screen, which is much worse than the K700i. Besides, I think 6230's design isn't too good. Motorola E398, on the other hand, has a good design, and superb sound, BUT, I think it doesn't have video recording, only video playback, which is a big big minus point for it.

I was thinking of Motorola MPx100 (which is rumored to be canceled) or the rumored to come F700/K900.

Considering having a 'horrible' experience with that of the SE K700/i fone model , I would suggest then that you go for the Nokia 7610 or 6230 for now . Now, if you have quite a big budget for your new fone and still have some patience to wait for, then go for the SE S700 mate ! Good Luck !

i have just gone from a Nokia to the K700 and i am mightily impressed. Do not go to Nokias i don't think because their user interface is plain, boring and their is hardly emough options for customising. The K700 is better because it has way more functions overall than the Nokia 6230, i have always liked Nokias and even my first was a Nokia but i just believe that they should have a bit more creativity...all their phones look the same and they've only got one flip phone, the 7200 which is useless and looks like half a brick.

K700 is good on the market currently, but if ur not a fan of SEs then sure go for the Motorolas, their sencond on my list

I agree but its menu system is just not intuitive enough when compared to SE and even nokia. I fiddled around with one for about 10 minutes and I couldn't figure out how to change the time (because it was not set to the correct time). but it's screen and interface do look very good. also the overall design is absolutely amazing. I dare say it was T610 inspired but a definite improvement.

I actually am a great fan of SE, I have always used their phones and didn't like Nokia's. It's just that I've been waiting for months for the K700i, and I'm still waiting, which pisses me off. I wouldn't buy the S700 or Siemens SX1, because I want a small phone. Otherwise, I would have bought the P900 with no questions.

BTW, the SE customer service told me that the firmware for Turkey was still being tested, that's why it's coming so late. Do you think this could mean a new firmware with no problems?

Thought I would never say this, and SE is still best... But the Nokia 6230 is actually great! my friend has it, and it is a nice phone with great functions

i dont think 7610 rules, if you compare it to k700i, maybe...but it's very obvious that as of press time, p900 rules!!!

OK! SE K700i fone rules, had it not have those 'bugs' and very poor battery life . . . for now, it's still the Nokia 7610 that rules !!! In the future . . . it will be the SE P910/SE S700 and the Nokia 9500 Communicator - No contest !!!
