See my post on this thread - I asked this question a while ago on a thread where I saw that escobar had got a pair of new headphones.

http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=4230&forum=15&9

Still no answer but hey my headphones work fine they just crackle a little bit occasionally but I didn't like the idea of not being able to get hold of replacements!

There must be somewhere to get them. It annoys me that they do not have a standard adaptor so you can use any headphones.

I too am in need of an HPM-10 headset (not the player). I spoke with SonyEricsson and 3 different representatives told me they have no way of selling only the headset portion of the accessory. This is pretty pathetic. The cord on my MP3 player snapped, and now it appears that I have to buy the whole damn thing again!

Yep it's sh*te! Why make the jack plug a non standard size so you can't use any headphones when you can't buy new Ericsson ones?? I could understand it if you could buy them!

well what's done is done, now lets look for a solution. if you don't really usethe handsfree beause you know it makes you look really stupid on teh train then all you need is an adaptor.

http://www.maplin.co.uk/default.php?targetmodule=1144

this is a 2.5plug to 3.5mm socket. very cheap.
if you need the headset then sorry i can't help you.

totally origianl, came with my mp3 player, i;ve never used it, i used the adaptor mentioned above to use nromal headfones. works fine, no scratches, i've even got that little white thing that clips them together. if you want it, then contact me at @hotmail.com with your price.

Oh right so you can get an adaptor so you can use your own headphones?! Didn't know that! Nice one!

I'll do that then and use my own.. I thought it was a special SE size - didn't realise an adaptor existed!

Thanks for the info!
