I've been makin my own themes & uploading them to the internet in order to download via infrared on my PC which is fine. However wen I try to open the theme on my phone it just says that it cannot open the item. Hope some1 can help. It's really annoying.

Are you using Theme Creator Pro? If that is the case, it might be that you have chosen too similar colors as text and background. The Sony Ericsson Themes Creato will warn you about this.

looby, look for things like this first on your theme and try it again.
If that still does not work email me the .thm file and I'll have a look tomorrow

@laffen: Both TCPro and Themes Creator has build-in color check function. It doesn't matter which software he uses.
If you've chose the same or too similar color, TCPro will warn you with a small icon and you won't be able to save the theme. This function can be disabled.
If you chose the same or to similar colors in Themes Creator you get only a warning, but you will still able to save the theme. The result well known...
Why suddenly all prefer Themes Creator over TCPro??? Don't think that the software is better just because it's created from Sony Ericsson!
For your information and for those who didn't know: some pre-defined themes installed on Z600 phone models are created with Theme Creator Pro!

@Ericssony
Sorry, my fault. You are absolutely correct I wanted to verify a theme once, and it looked nice in the theme preview, but didn't work on the phone. I had not made the theme myself and therefore missed the flags.
I do not favour the Themes Creator. I use Theme Creator Pro myself |

@ Ericsony: TCP does not flag at all conflicts even though the phone may wel refuse them. Note the link in my earlier post. There was no flag here. nor is there if there is a conflict on the popup menu background/text colours.

Vlammetje you've made a mistake and a big one
Title text (Title_text) and Background (Background) actually can have the same color! Background (Background) and Text (Text) should not have the same or to similar color!
Search for my post with color restrictions!

i do believe i mentioned background text and MENU text
I have not made that mistake since the last time a theme would not function on my phone and you may take my word for it: no colour flags

On the picture you've postet (see above for link) the colors are OK. Why you've market the Background tag red???
Background tag is white and Text tag is black. Why should there be a color flag?
See my post about color restrictions

ericssony, I don't want to sound arrogant but perhaps you could a) take the time to dig out a PM on that very issue i sent you months ago or b) read the actual post on what I did and why it is circled and how the theme as posted in that picture does indeed work. (after I made the necessary changes)
Sorry pal you say you wanted feedback but the only ever feedback I try to give does not seem to be coming through very well.
My point is TCP will allow same or similar background and text colours on both menu and popup menu but the phone will not.
Now I know this is not a very major deal but i did not realize this until I actually got my phone. By that time I had already made dozens of themes of which I cannot be sure they actually all work.
It is possible that other ppl may make the same mistake.
I know it's a very very minor suggestion and if you think it's not worth your time and attention just say so and I'll drop it
[edit] don't get me wrong i think it's a marvellous piece of software and I for one would be jumping with joy if there were to be further development for it again...... [/edit]
