Yes there has been difficulties concerning that issue.
Don`t understand why it seems to be like this.

Ok, this is my experience, I created about 5themes now and they all work.. my first themes that didn't work was cause they are big in size..

I have noticed that when the thm pictures are to big it wont load into the t610. I use gifs instead of jpgs and my themes are about 50k.

I think big themes wont work, (only a guess), the t610 has a special amount of memory set for themes, and when it loads a themes it fills that memory and if the thm is to big it wont be accepted...

SO if I am right, dont make big sized themes!!

ALSO: one more tip, I noticed that somecolors can't be to dark, if to dark the theme wont be accepted. I used a background color that were nere black and it didn't work untill I made it a bit lighter. Not noticable to the eye, but I guess for the phone.. So some colors are sensitive with dark colors.. NOT ALL, I dont remember which..

So, if you have a small sized theme and still doesn't work, go look for very very dark colors..

well make sure you've got the correct theme creator from clubsonyericsson. there's one specifically for t610 mobile phone. when you create a theme, the pictures you gonna include as either wallpaper or status bar, or the softkeys, it did specify the pixels it requires. so trim and resize to what was specified. try to use .jpg files as they are smaller than .gif and of course you'll make full use of the 65K colours of the screen! in the Popup section, the background pics did not specify the pixel size required, but as an advise, use no bigger than 128 x 127. the smaller the size & the lesser the number of pics used, the theme is gonna be small in size too!

have a great time!

Color restrictions for T610 themes:
All color tags must have a value. Following pairs must be separated by an RBG distance of at least 20 after translating to the color depth of the phone:

Text Background

Highlight_text
Highlight

More_list_Prompt
More_list_background

More_list_text
More_list_background

Prompt
Background

Standby_operatorname
Standby_operatorname_outline

Following triplets must have at least one color that is separated from the others by RBG distance of at least 20 after translating to the color depth of the phone:

Title
Title_text_shadow
Title_text

More_list_title_text_shadow
More_list_title_text
More_list_title

Desktop_title_outline
Desktop_title
Desktop_background

The reason for these rules is that it must always be possible to navigate to the theme menu and choose another theme.

Ericssony,
that's kinda cool info you've there!
as for me, i would just have light colours for pics and dark colours for wordings or vice versa.
