Tomorrow it is final! The voting is tomorrow at 13 o’clock Finnish time(12 European time, 11 GMT,…) The standings are at the moment 104 for and 93 against the project and the rest are nor sure yet (total members 200) but nothing is for sure yet anything can still happen. |

I’m almost sure that the plant on first page is a Finnish one, and the reactor could very well be Soviet design since all reactors in Finland are designed by Soviet and Sweden. |

The question is:
5.000.000 inhabitants in Finland and 4 but soon 5 Nuclear Power plants.
Well it is 1 Nuclear power plant/1.000.000 people.
It would be like 58 nuclear p. p. in France, 80 in Germany ... !?
... and can the Finnish state afford this?

With the amount of taxes they have in Finland (one could call that legal robbing), they can certainly afford a new nuclear power plant 
And I guess, their intention would also be to sell energy to neighbouring countries. |

Actualy it is realy more than 30 nuclear plants in France ... but most of power are used for industry not for private use ... so it all goes for YOUR NOKIA MOBILE PHONES  (now this discusion in the right forum :)) ... (actualy e.g. paper industry needs a lot of power etc.).
And I also against those "green" power solutions like wind power plants ... yes they are ugly an so on, but the major problem is that they produce a huge NOICE POLUTION! Yes the noice is also POLUTION (it is scientific fact) and a very serios polution! So every power form has own problems, but we realy need a couple (e.g. 5) of nuclear plants againts a thouthands plants of other energy forms!
ANd sometimes oil will end on the planet if it is used so much for simply production of electrical energy and as always the air is dramaticaly poluted with these oil power plants (e.g.) ... and this (AIR POLUTION) is the real problem of TODAYS(!). But nuclear waste problem can be scientificaly solved I think ... e.g. here we decide where to bring the nuclear wastes, but in Russia goverment thinks about the laws how to bring nuclear wastes from other countries to Russia FOR RECYCLING! (Because it is technologies for it in Russia) And says that e.g. USA is strongly against this because itself wants to recycly nuclear wastes for money of cource! So it is a new market (nuclear waste recycling) for those countries who has the technologies for it! |

So now it is official, The 5th finnish nuclear power plant will be built in the next year ... do someone wants to come here and give a hand? |

It will be ready in the year 2008 but more likely 2010(Its like  with the MMS software ) |
