The congressmen will vote about the building on Friday and after that it is final. There are 200 men and women in the parliament and there are about 90 member whom will vote for the building and about the same amount whom will vote against it so you will probably have to wait for Friday to be sure. Ok so do you support nuclear power or not?

We already have 4 of them so every one can explode, but if all is done at high level (as should be) I dont think it will explode! Chernobyl has explode because of human mistake (very stupid mistake!) and it it was the only case in human history ... it is more than 100 nuclear power stations only in US! So one more here ... I think it is not so much risk added, BUT WE NEED AN ENERGY and the nuclear energy is ecologicaly clear!!! I also hope we will built it.

NO! the Power Plant in Tsernobyl didn't explode because of a human mistake! It exploded because they were making an experiment there. They were trying to use as little urane as possible but it didn't work as expected so the guys at Tsernobyl removed some vital control sticks witch never should be removed and then the power plant exploded. I think nuclear power will be quite safe if you just don't let the mad sovjet scientists play with it

By the way nuclear power is totally pure energy and the pipes you can see on the roof are only for ventilation

i would be glad to have nuclear power! here in belgium more then 40% is by nuclear power and now are nice goverment will close overy nuclear power station by the end of 2010! and we only have 10% of natural power resources! so we produce a lot of green gas, and that f**ks up the planet! and the goverment diden't even ask if the people were glad that the nuclear plants are gone close. the big company the controle's the electricity here is also very angry whit this but the can't do anything about it!

I guess it depends on how well they hit the target but I think it will not necessarily be a catastrophe

We are building an Anti-Matter Power Plant, in my living room! Ok, maybe I’m thinking too far ahead.

Still, you have to think of the consequences with nuclear power. What about nuclear waste? Nuclear waste is far worst than green house gases alone. Increasing nuclear power in this world only leads to more nuclear crap. Just take a look at the US, we have so damn much nuclear waste, we don’t even know where to put it, and yet still we don’t have enough damn power for everyone with all these nuclear reactors (Probably going to blow up too, hehe)! Pretty soon, everyone will have 6 arms and extremely large breasts.

France has an impressive nuclear power system, but what do they do with all that waste? Hide it under there beds? Hehe, they send it to some third world country and pretend it doesn't exist.

And yes, I know some nuclear waste can be recycled, but it’s not 100% recycled.
The remaining portion of it is extremely toxic to any thing, no matter where it’s stored, even with concert/lead/steel bunkers.

Yes but scientists have invented a methot so they can make high radioactive waste to medium active plus get some energy of it. but it is still future technology
