Talk about losing your phone privileges. A judge in Vicenza, Italy has banned two men from ever using cellphones again because they were harrassing their ex-girlfriends with offensive phone calls and text messages. So now it’s illegal for any cell carrier in Italy to offer them service.

It looks like if they want to use Cell's again, they can move out of Italy, though.

It must be hard for them, it would be for me.
When my old T610 got nicked,I was without my phone for 3 days until I got my new sim but I had to use N8310 until insurance came through. In those 3 days i felt naked without my phone.

wow, imagine that. no more being ripped off by telcos. no more annoying little texts and voicemails from people you barely know. no longer being contactable at all hours of the day and night.
man, it must be tough (what's the public phone system like in Italy, anyone know?)

the only thing i'd miss without a cell phone would be being able to come on esato other than that i could live without one :-D

I'd feel lost without my phone also! The ability to send someone a quick text from wherever you are, a phone call to say you'll be late, or 'shall I pick up a bottle of wine on the way home'! And yes, I guess whatever these two blokes did it must have been pretty extreme or nasty
