I am sure I heard or read somewhere around 6 months ago that the mobile network operators were developing a device in conjunction with BT or someone like them; that would allow you to handle calls to and from your standard home telephone line via your mobile handset.

If I remember correctly; the idea was you bought a device similar to a DECT phone + base station and when your mobile was in range of the base station, you could use your mobile handset or the dedicated base station handset to make and receive calls.

Your ability to use your mobile to make and receive calls on your GSM & GPRS networks in the normal manner would be unaffected.

Has any one else heard about this or did I just dream it if I did it seems like a good idea to me:O
I have owned the ... T68i T610, P800, P900, P910, P990, W950, P1, W960 But SE have now totally lost the plot.
