BT, in association with Sony Ericsson, is developing the concept of 'Bluephones', a function that will be built into your mobile that will allow it to connect to your landline when at home or in the office. The technology will use a Bluetooth wireless connection to automatically detect when your handset is in range of your pre-registered home or office landline and will route your calls through it, thus saving you money (a typical family could save £75 a month, BT reckons) while still using your handset, from anywhere in the house.

Early predictions from BT claim that it will even be possible for your phone to automatically take account of free minutes available on various tariffs, only routing your call through the landline when it's the cheapest option. The first Bluephones from Sony Ericsson are expected to be with us by the summer.

The above was taken from http://www.thefuturelook.com

Anyone else hear about these new phones?

I know a few years back Ericsson did try something similar, I even saw some phones for sale, but then they dissapeared.

Here is a pic!...

Yeah I've seen it here in Sweden too...

I wonder if it's the wireless phone that imitates the t300 or the t300 imitating the wireless phone??

It is NOT normal 4 u to post 4 posts. But i cannot view pics either on my Z600, especially not those that are linked in BB code. Now could you make an attempt to remove 3 of the 4 above posts?

No, you don't see the pic when you're on wap. It dosen't matter it's not that important with the pic. The text is interesting though.

The pic is actually a big turn off, I wouldnt buy a phone that is basically a T300!

I think SE should instead make a device that connects to your home phone line and then when you enter the home a bit like when you enter a car, it connects to the land line and does all the smart stuff. Via Bluetooth of course, only problem is I dont think it will work with the current 10M bluetooth, perhaps still a way off I think.

Then I could use my P900 with the landline, instead of buying a T300

I really don't understand the pic. It's a wireless phone that has been out for months. It isn't ade by and I've never heard of it being able to connect with the mobile via bluetooth or even via anything at all. Please explain the meaning of this pic.
