actually the role was originally intended for Ashley Judd, but she turned it down and has since been quoted as regretting the decision. (wish she had taken it - she's a miles better actress and more attractive  )

I would'nt really say she has no talent..thats going a little bit far but i would say she just a wrong actress for this role.Halle Berry was excellent in Monsters Ball....Gr8 movie by the way.

i will concede she was good in monster's ball (although not oscar-worthy IMHO). however, she's never been too convincing in anything else. she's been in good movies, but she didn't make them good.

I never said she was brilliant actress..she just about cuts it thats all..certain rolls for certain type of characters.

agreed. i think in this case she may have only been cast to put a name actress in the role, but then again she might surprise us.
