It's not that strange, actually you can receive a call if it is made when NO data transfer is going on... If you're in the middle of a download, though, the call will get rejected (on a non-class A GPRS phone, of course!)

I spent hours and hours on the internet via my t68i as a bluetooh modem and i had no problems receiving calls. Most of that time i was downloading something or refreshing "Esato Latestposts" and the phone was ringing like always. Never tried to check if i'm available or not. A friend told me that he got a message when he tried to reach me that i'm not available,but that was when i was in school surfing from wap. Anyone else had this "no problems"? Or t68i is a Class A phone? :-D

i believe the the older phones are only gprs class B ...

your situation could be that it so happens that in between the gprs data blocks the incoming call is able to interrupt the phone protocol stack...which allow the phones to detect the incoming call.

That could be the reason why i was experiencing some problems while sending some attachments via email. I was sending email when i received a call and when the conversation war over i had to resend email because the first time it failed.

I know that one of the advantages of GPRS over CDS connection( analogue) is that u ALWAYS receive the calls when u r in the middle of the gprs session.the data transmission stops and the call gets in.After u finished the call, u can resume the data transfer.If u can't receive calls during gprs sessions is cuz u have some barring into ur phone or ur provider has a problem.It's abnormal not to be able to get a phonecall while using gprs.

@701
wat u say is absolutely right. I have no call barring in my fone. The queer thing is that people using n3650 are able to get incoming calls yle using gprs on their laptops or pcs, but when i use my p900 in the same network, i dont get incoming calls. thats what is buggin me. we dont want Nok one higher up than SE
