Hi,

It seems that whenever I'm using T610(GPRS)+Notebook for web-surfing, I'm unable to receive any incoming calls...

Is there anything in particular that I should configure in the phone? (if I remember correctly, T610 is a GPRS Class B phone, it should be able to handle the situation.)

I was able to receive incoming calls when I used my GPRS on my T610. Unfortunately, I don't have that phone anymore so I'm not sure what settings I had programmed. I'm sure someone else can help you with that here on Esato.

hi guys,

i've double check my phone settings and everything is in order...

however i noticed that that the problem only occurs when the gprs is busy sending and receiving packets...

during idle state (ie. gprs connected, but no up/down link in progress) i am able to receive incoming calls...

...it sounds logical, but my impression of "GPRS CLASS B" is that it should behave like an interrupt function. Shouldn't it temporary interrupt the gprs traffic and indicate that there is an incoming call?

perhaps some of you may like to try it and see if u are experiencing the same symtoms as me...

unless i'm mistaken that T610 is not a GPRS CLASS B phone...

never had any probs with it, more with d gprs itself. sometimes really crowdy, think d operators sell it much too fast, but d system is not 100% perfect.

Stupid question but for receiving calls during gprs, must the double call activated ?

I ask it cause I've only a prepaid card so single line. Tried before with T68 but didn't succeed.
Tried now with P900 and still busy when I'm using GPRs.

Anybody has info ?

No, the gprs problem has nuthin'2do with the double call feature. U have to be able to get calls while using gprs unless...foe example here, we can't use agprs data on a prepayed unless u have a dedicated prepayed for data but on which u can't get calls.Just gprs.Check with ur operator cuz it might be network related.I don't understand why u'd wait a week to get a straight answer here than calling ur Customer Service , pay a few $ on the call and find out what's wrong. They r obligated to sort it out u know...

I have tried emailing to my service provider but there was no reply from them...

so I tried calling the service hotline, but the customer service couldn't give me a straight answer...

here's what she said:
"...we never seems to have this sort of complain before...have u checked your phone settings?...it could also be that the phone you are using is having some problem...could it be also that you have mistakenly set some parameters in your pc that results in this problem?....*blah blah blah...

personally, I felt that she doesn't even know what she's talking about...

anyway i just have to live with it for a while and hope that nobody calls me during when i'm using gprs session...

Hi folks
ill have to agree with passerby, the same is the case with me, whereas i use a p900. when gprs is active and im using the inbuilt tools like the internet browser or 3rd party browsers like opera or agile messenger, I get the call through, but when i connect it to the laptop i cant get the connection through.
