Hi all
I have an SE T230, I bought it with a complete set from a provider in Belgium. So there are logo's, ringtones etc from the gsmprovider.
Is there a possibility to update the firmware of my gsm. Here's some info about the firmware I have now:
R2A007
prgCXC1122652_EU_2
Customization MS
CDA 102262/37
R3A

sure you can have it upgrade, just take it to a  servicepoint, latest firmware for T230 is R4A008 |

U can do it urself but u will need to spend quite a bit on special cables, fw key etc. Also u will lose ur warranty.

Don't I just need a data cable, software to flash and a firmware file?

U need a special code that can be obtained for around 10$ and the flash software available from sonyericssonserver.com

There is a topic by Plebber (or whatever is the name) describing exactly how to do it. I have forgotten the name of the thread. Perhaps masseur/vlamm or plebber himself can give the exact link.
