does anyone know of a free app for windows that allows you to edit midi files, preferably one that lets you see the actual staff with notes? i want to pare down some of these 3 minute songs to ringtone length. |

well partly because this question comes up every couple of weeks, partly because in this instance the search results are fairly helpful (it's how i found my midi editors), partly because the search has been improved recently, and partly to show dichron that there is a search function in case he missed it.
