How can that be. It's in technical.

Yes, I went into technical on my mac. It's not there, I have to search or check lastest posts to access it.
I also made a topic in garbage on wap, exact same thing with that. Are mobile topics being segregated from the full internet forum? That's a bit stupid. |

This self-proclaimed 'greatest MEN on earth' (how many of him is there?!!) is taking his sweet time to reply! Seems like bit of a cock & bull story from here!
Oh and isn't the T300 cover a snap-on changeable cover while the T310 cover is fixed on with screws, so surely it is not possible! Correct me if I'm wrong.

well i just don't see the point of doing this.....
in these days you can get a t610 for free on an operator contract so why would anybody spent money on a crap screen and put it in an old mobile phone.....
btw: he's an idiot so i wouldn't be suprised if this is all bull..... |

OK, for the 'topics visibilty question' a nice note has appeared on top of each forum now that says Quote:
| NOTE!
There is a problem with the topic sort order. Some of the topics created today are found in the back (or front, depending on your preferred sort order) of the list of topics. Check the Post last 24 hours for correct list. We are working on a solution...

As for why he would change it: i dunno...... I would've purchased a newer phone myself.
I would like to see some pics of how it is done.
The discussion of T310 covers on t300's has indeed been overed before. Since both phones are not the exact same size, nor do they use he same type of covers, it is generally accepted that T310 covers and/or housings do NOT fit on the T300.
However, there appear to be some aftermarket cases out there that look like the T310 case. Although I have never come across these myself, it might explain it a little bit.

I would say that as covers arn't the same, he is talking crap (unless like vlam said there are look-a-like covers available, but i have never seen them), because if he had done the transformation, he would have mentioned about how he got it to fit, or that it isn't a real t310 case. Also like everyone else has said, WHAT IS THE POINT? The price of the screen + buying new case + fiddling around with the phone for ages + risking completly knackering the phone, you might as well just buy a new phone, like the t610. Even after you have put the new screen in, the phone will still lack all the features of a new phone, and the screen will still be no where near as good as a 65K screen. So there is no point in doing it, (apart from the fact you could say that you own the only 4K colour t300 in the world (unless another sad git has also changed the screen)).

I remember a story of late siemens s55s having 4096 colour screens but the hardware and firmware only supporting 256 colours. I would think the t300 hardware would not support more colours or se would have fitted it.
