Problem with installing XTNDConnect for T68i |

Hi,
I have a bluetooth USB adaptor (CBT100U). After installing the adaptor and checking that my T68i recognizes the adaptor, I started installing the communication suite 1.5.9 from sony ericsson (downloaded from wap.SonyEricssonMobile.com). When installing XTNDConnect I am asked to start Outlook, as the installation requires Outlook to be running: "Microsoft Outlook must be run prior to installing XTNDConnect PC". But the installation program does not recognize outlook as running and terminates the installation. I am Running XP Home edition 2002 SP1 with Outlook 2000.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
Regards,
Martin

Something else that may help is to go to Windows Update and find the 'Application comapatibility patch' (it may be called something slightly different - I cannot remember) and install that. It helped on my XP Pro lap top. You may want to ensure that XTNDConnect is completely uninstalled before trying again.

Hmmm, I have tried different things now without any result:
1) Installing Outlook 2000 again
2) Used a registry monitor:
The installation program tries to open the keys:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\8.0\Outlook
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Outlook
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook
with result not found for all three. The keys for 8.0 and 9.0 are defined in my registry, so why the installation program gets the result "not found" is a mystery to me. I have checked whether the user is authorized/allowed to read the registry entries. Everything seems okay. Futhermore the string value FirstRunDialog has the value "False", as proposed.
Any new idea would be very helpfull.
