Hi all,
My T610 now only turns on to a blank screen (blue with back light).
I just realised that the phone is still working, ie. I can still make and receive calls (with a blank screen). It is possible that the screen background photo is corruped and stuffs the screen up.
I have tried taking battery out, pressing power for 30 sec, with no luck.
Could anyone with a T610 please send me a blind sequence of keys to do a master reset, or even reformat the flash?
ie. I can use the keypad but I cannot see the screens.
Thank you.

Thank you ultimatemobiles.
Unfortunately that did not fix it, I can hear a musical sound at the end of the sequence but that's it.
I bought the phone in Singapore and the warranty is not valid in Australia
Thanks again.

It is a while since I had to do a master reset - but does it not prompt you for a PIN somewhere along the line?

yes, after step 10 you are prompted for the phone lock code (0000 if you have not set it) so enter that and then press joystick in

Aah forgot the PIN! I didnt actually press master reset (as I didnt want to do it) so I just presumed it was a simple confirmation prompt!

Try this, hope it works!

1) Press joystick in
2) Joystick right
3) Joystick down
4) Joystick down
5) Joystick in
6) Joystick up
7) Joystick in
Joystick down
9) Joystick in
10) Enter PIN (usually 0000)
11) Joystick in

Thats what esato is all about helping each other. Plenty of people have helped me in the past, so I want to do the same!

Cheers guys,

Simon

2- #
3- 9
4- 2
5- Phone lock

I think the PIN works, because now the ring tone has changed to the default Ericsson one. Still no screen though, looks like I am toasted
iyiinsan, I assume the key sequence you sent were a joke to lock the phone up?
Thanks everyone, appreciate all the help.

From my experience (I repaired compaq laptops earlier in life), this isnt a software problem. A LCD-display consists of a backlight and the actual colors it displays. Sounds very much like the colors doesnt display any more and only the backlight is working. Sorry, i hope im wrong since you didnt bought it @ home.
