Sorry, i meant they should upgrade it to the latest firmware for the t68m, so that way they are not converting the phone from m to mc, just upgrading it

I know, my 'global warranty' doesn't count in Azerbaijan!! I told them it's worldwide, but obviously this is not part of the 'world'

To JasonDeFaoite:
Hong Kong Ericsson CS is a shxt!!! Even I'm willing to pay, they won't upgrade for me and they also said that they don't have the firmware of T68m. Instead, they only have T68mc firmware. So they can't help me. But somebody in HK said that if flash T68m with T68mc firmware, the phone would hang and out of work. So an interesting question raised here.
" Can T68m covert to T68mc or T68mc to T68 after upgrading the firmware???" |

Ericsson T68m enjoys global warranty. The following is quoted from the "Service and Support" leaflet accompanies in the T68m package:
"You will have access to a number of exclusive advantages such as: * An extensive global network of Ericsson service partners"
"In the unlikely event your product needs service, please return it to the dealer from whom it was purchased or one of our service partners"
You see, any service partners in the world in their extensive global network =) Good luck!

Theoretically that's true, but in practice believe me it's not...
You come to Azerbaijan, we're the third most corrupt country in the world, if you want something here, you bribe them....
Global warranty is a joke here...

yeah, I know what you mean.
But then that's country-specific. Not really SonyEricsson's problem.. but aren't there any decent ppl working in Azerbadjan's SE CS? |

Ha, Hong Kong is not a corrupt country but HK Ericsson can still refuse upgrading for my T68m and don't give any Global Warranty. They can use T68m and T68mc is different product and T68m is not available in HK market as an excuse. What a Fxxk. Now I know why Ericsson divide T68 into m and mc, why T68i into i and ie. It's not just different language but also an excuse for HK Ericsson not to upgrade my T68 "m". |

Hi Guys!
I am new here and i'm a new owner of a T68mc. Being a Nokia user before, I am really having a hard time adjusting. One thing that would have helped me in an Ericsson phone is the T9 menu but my T68mc doesn't have it. Is conversion from T68mc to T68m possible? Can this be done by simply changing the SW of the phone?
Thanks.

I think you have T9 fuction in you phone. It is matter of turning it on.
Goto "Settings", Select "Language", Then Select "Input". Tick all values

Tried that already but it doesn't work. I've read somewhere that T68mc doesn't have T9.

Hi, I just came into this site.
Okay, as far as I know, and I can confirmed it T68mc does not have T9.
I am currently using a T68mc. In our SC we can convert from T68mc
to T68m. In the future if you want to upgrade the MMS software, T68mc will not be able to accept upgrading. You have to convert back to T68 and then can only accept MMS software |
