I know itīs possible to use BlueT connection on your P800 to connect to your PC and browse the web from your p800 using your PC's ADSl connection.
My Opera connection works fine.
My "Internet" connection asks for an account to Internet and then fails.
Anyone know how to set this up.

Hi,
The built it internet browser will always want to try a gprs internet connection first. If that fails is will use bluetooth via your PC.
What I do is set up a dummy gprs connection with no settings configured. If I tell the built-in internet browser or the messaging app to use this connection, then it will try the dummy account, fail and revert to bluetooth to pc.

Im havin a smiliar problem. I can sync my pc and phone using bluetooth, i can even browse using Opera browser, but i am unable to use the internal browser or the email client.
I have tried making a dummy GPRS account and even tried to put the IP address manually as 127.0.0.1 or 123.0.0.0, but still no success.
I am on R2F and i have not been subscribed to any GPRS Service. Therefore i dont have GPRS and the status on the phone shows Avaliable but Unattached.
Could some one pls help me out, maybe i am missing something.
Thanks in advance.

I am having a similar problem. I used to be able to connect ok till recently. I haven't done a software upgrade recently, still on R2D i believe.
I have my dummy gprs account. Whenever I try to connect, my phone connection symbol appears with a cross in it, then the gprs symbol by its side. I then either get 'activation error' or network error '56' or any other number. Any ideas here? Like I mentioned, it was all working before.. is my phone faulty. It will not even go onlin evia the cradle. I get the same error messages.

Can anyone help on this??????
Is there a problem with the R2F firmware that it doesnt let us use the internal browser and email client to get on the internet with the P800 in the cradle/or while using bluetooth?

Hi,
Can anyone go through the steps of setting up an internet connection to your PC via Bluetooth? I've been through the forums here, but there seem to be a few points missing...
1. Which NIC do you share your internet connection on your PC to? I could select "Bluetooth Network", but the P800 isn't connected via the Bluetooth Network protocol, but rather, via the Bluetooth Serial Port.
2. I try sharing the Bluetooth Network (assuming it *is* this), and it demands that my NIC be set to 192.168.0.1 - I'd guess this is the Bluetooth adapter, not my LAN NIC? If it is, or my P800, then that's a pain, since my ADSL Router's set to 192.168.0.1 by default. Any suggestions?
3. Any walkthroughs out there on the net?

Here is a thread on the subject.
By the way,
The reason Windows is trying to set the IP address on the NIC (when you try to enable Internet Connection Sharing) to 192.168.0.1 is because it will then enable DHCP server (hand out IP addresses to all other machines on the network), and set itself as a default gateway (router through which other machines on your network will access the internet) to the internet. So, if you ever want to use Internet Connection Sharing, you will have to change IP on your ADSL router. Since this is NOT the method used by P800, you don't have to enable ICS
