Probably they have each prototype with different hardware and software ready. Just need to decided very soon the one to become final phone. If event is 2-3 weeks away, they need to send devices for the people to use and praise the phone, so they can show this statements during the presentation.

From weibo

" xperia pro i uses a variable aperture +1g5p glass plastic hybrid lens, and this lens module is made for 1/1.3 cmos. Unsurprisingly, this combination will be used in this year's machine, but I hope the lens module will be increased to 2g5p, and then the iPhone doesn't know. Do you want to give a variable aperture this year? If so, there will be a good show. Bayer is justice and hang quadbayer forever."

Didn't the same person say that xperia 1 iv will use 48MP sensor? Then it can't be the same combination with xperia pro-i

Person basically says 1iv has the lenses used by pro-i. But hopes sony adds 1 more glass element to the lens.

Wow look at how the dimensity 9000 thrashed snapdragon 8 gen 1 in terms of benchmark as well as battery life

Another interesting observation is what happened to their ram management??

Pointless when it has weaker ISP, lacks 8K (I think is useless for phones but brands want) and no mmWave.

When is event? Is it April 25th?

How do you tell it's docomo but not KDDI or Softbank?

This number matches 8g1 by samsung. The 8g1 by tsmc reaches 4000 multicore.

It means most likely they will use snapdragon 8Gen 1 for xperia 1IV... Sad ~
