I think the bottom hole has to be a microphone. Where else would the microphone be?
I would have liked to have seen a return of the lanyard hole.

Mark 3 has little hole near usb port as well. That's microphone indeed.
Maybe they moved the slot to have more room to keep cpu very away from camera. Also, better aesthetics.

It was posted on weibo in november that device would have three 48MP + one 50MP (cropped to 48). She also suggested the variable focal length would be replaced by two fixed focal lemgth cameras. Then @spek said about the possibility of having 4 rear cameras.
According to weibo post would be : 1/1.44" + 1/1.56" + 1/2" + 1/1.9".
But render still has 3 + tof.
** I really wish this phone has 70-200mm like their lens for FF, but starting to think it is gonna rely on digital zoom from the 24 to cover current range used by III. 😰

Zero chance. Look at how much money huawei has lost in these 3 years. Imagine all corps there facing financial retaliation from Japan, South Korea, Australia, Europe and USA/Canada.

Yeah Caybule was hinting at camera zooming similar to Galaxy S22 (which has 10 x optical zoom ) so yeah. 240mm optical zoom. If added AI super resolution should be able to zoom good 3 times more ~ |

Let's suppose it has 16/24/240mm combo. The 240mm is awful for video. And if you use digital zoom out of 24mm, the resolution drops to 1/4 every 2x zoom applied. At 48mm, your video becomes 1080p and at 72mm becomes 720p.
Sony needs to keep the optical zoom instead of going single prime. Also, it is weird to imagine they would find more space inside for a 4th camera, since it has same size of iii. |

Flat sides do give it more upscale look no doubt. By the size of camera bump we can conclude that it will have the same camera array of sensors as the previous one, which is very meh and underwhelming. Hopefully if 1 & 5 go quad bayer route this one will too. Crappy sensors really do benefit from qb. |

Sony, Samsung and Apple stopped all activities in Russia. Sony even had an event in Moscow mid 2021 to show 1iii and alpha gear. Also donated $2.000.000 to help refugees.
Well, if even 10iv has flat frames, I guess we can expect 5iv to finally have same design of 1 series. 😁
